The elastic feels strong and the fabric around the elastic band is soft and stretchy. They arent satin lined or lined at all but surprisingly soft/smooth, you can't feel the outer design on the inside at all. It's a single piece of fabric, sewed to the elastic. So, they are very thin, I held them up, in a mostly dark room, and was able to clearly see my tv, through the material. But these cost much less than any others in the shiny mermaid style and also had better reviews and come in a 3 pack. They arrived quickly.
