This is a refurbished unit. But it looks perfect and brand new from the packing to the Apple TV to the remote. It looks brand new … not a scratch or blemish. This is my third Apple TV. Being a Mac user … I lean towards Apple for most of my toys. This Apple TV is quick, responsive and the interface beats any other I have tried. I have tried the Fire TV, Roku, and other streaming products. But I still stick with the Apple TV for a couple of reasons. First, it is just cleaner. The icons and setup are just more user friendly IMO. The unit keeps track where you are in your shows. I just appreciate the cleaner look. Also, it does not have the ads that products like the Fire TV have. I also appreciate that Apple has not sold out for that … yet. The setup was easy and cleverly pulled all the apps in that I currently use from my other Apple TVs. The remote has moved to the metal case. Which is great as for my older one. The first time my grandson touched it it cracked and broken. Still worked but just looked like junk. The only negative I have about the remote is that it is too sensitive. I wanted a control for watching tv shows and movies and since I already had other Apple products I opted for the AppleTV 4k. It was easy to set up to my TV. The remote is nice since you can slide over the letters and numbers instead of having to move one at a time by just sliding your fingers over the remote. The side of the remote has a button for voice control using Alexa. It's a little expensive, but worth it. I fully recommend this item. ... show more

Just wanted to share my experience with it, as this is first time using Apple TV (never had one before) and was very hesitant of buying it. Can't compare to any other boxes out there as I've never had one. Currently I am using it with my 2020 Samsung TV, which had 1 update since I have bought it and after the update, the OS on it slowed down dramatically and samsung stopped supporting it, so I will not be receiving anymore updates. All the apps you try to access take a moment to load and seem like every time you use the TV it becomes slower and slower. My biggest problem was how slow the screen mirror was from an iPhone. Now with Apple TV it is blazing fast. Previously sometimes it would disconnect or would not pair correctly so you would have to exit and start again. With Apple TV it works flawlessly. Now to Apple TV, I've had it for a day so far and I can say I am blown away by performance. The first thing I noticed is how fast it is, no lag whatsoever, of course it is still new and I will give it some time but performance wise, it is so much faster, even when I first got Samsung TV. Apps download instantly, and you can have as many apps as you want, compare to TV you had limited space on it. Plus some apps were not available like CW TV, Peacock and a few more. The biggest thing was how fast and quick YouTube app loads on Apple TV vs Samsung TV. The remote is nice and small, came in pre-charged, only negative is they do not include a USB-C cable, so if you don't have one already, you will have to buy one. The one feature that I liked is, when you press the power button it asks you if you want to power everything off which included Apple TV, Samsung TV and Soundbar, which is a new feature. So you can use the same remote for everything. Overall, I am pretty happy with the purchase, and would recommend to anyone who's still thinking of buying one. ... show more
