  • Perfect for paper piecing quilting
It works perfect and makes it much easier to get the perfect sized finished blocks. The only draw back is the secent. I am hyper-sensitive to anything with perfumes. The secent is very light, but I can still smell it. Don't know if there is any way to perduce without a sent, but would love it if they would. My kids love the smell. I kind of do too, but unfortunatly I do have a mild reaction to it. I still use it but make sure I have a fan going. ... show more

  • Great for Quilting Squares
Got this for my mom as she is an avid quilter. She was complaining about having to buy the small bottles and they wouldn't last while she was working on cutting out all of here squares for a quilt she was putting together. Now all she has to do is refill her squitter and away she goes.

  • No regrets.
This is the best product for quilt making. I mix with water and a few drops of my preferred essential oils, and go to town on the most stubborn quilt seams. Love this because I can store pressed blocks long term without worrying about pests. And it works! Like magic! I'm on my second gallon. No regrets. ... show more

  • Fanstastic for Precision Piecing
I have been quilting for a few years, but just started making a Farmer's Wife quilt (small 6" blocks) that not only were small, but had many triangles and other precision piecing needs. I mentioned my struggles, and a friend suggested trying starch. I tried some spray starch from the grocery store because it was easy to get a hold of. It worked well at helping me keep the tips of my triangles very crisp. But I managed to go through 2 ironing board covers and a new iron in a month. Not to mention that I was always running out of starch. After doing some poking around online, I found Best Press. I started with a small bottle, but it was love at first press. It didn't smell, was easy to use, didn't build up on my iron or my ironing board covers, and kept all my triangles perfectly crisp. I currently always have a back up gallon in the closet, just in case. I cannot quilt without it now. Best Press is also very useful for giving body to thinner fabrics, like lawns of voiles, whether you are using them for garments or quilting. Remember to starch or use a product like this before you cut your pieces and make your quilt blocks! If you do it after you cut your pieces, or even after you piece your blocks you can cause the fabrics to distort or shrink, causing puckering. ... show more

  • Amazing!
This stuff is awesome! I have been trying to remove wrinkles from quilters cotton. I have tried the hottest setting on my 1700W iron with steam, sprayed water directly on the fabric then ironed, ironed the same spot over and over, and ironed right after removing from the dryer. No matter what I tried there were still wrinkles in the fabric. I saw this product on a youtube video and decided to try it myself. I AM AMAZED! I lighly sprayed my fabric and hit it with the iron and VOILA the wrinkles were completely gone. I will never sew again without this stuff. ... show more

  • Good for quilting.
I use this to stiffen my quilt fabrics before I cut them. The starch keeps them from stretching, and is especially useful when working with fabric that has been cut in the bias. I like the scent free version, but I have also used the scented.

  • wonderful product
Best Press beats any other product for pressing. Even though it is on the pricey side it has its advantages. It does not flake as starch has a tendency to do so, or mess up the ironing plate. Because of this it saves me time from brushing out flakes and not having to purchase a product to clean my ironing plate as often. I also want to comment on Amazon replacing the damage jug in a quickly and no fuss manner. Nice to know customer service still matters. Thank you ... show more

  • Awesome product
Have been using this for a number of years. Have to use unscented as the scented makes me cough for hours after I quit using it. I think this is a great product. Like it and have been through gallons of it.
