  • Overall, I would buy again and reco vs. the competition.
I just used this on an extensive trip (5 weeks). Pros: (1) Lightweight and compact. (2) Easy to use the clips to hold clothes in place. Cons: (1) you should bring 4-6 clothes pins to take full advantage of the cord length and clothes to dry. (2) Adjusting the length can be tricky. You need to be patient. (3) Instructions for use should be more clear. Overall, I would buy again and reco this vs. the competition. ... show more

  • Lightweight and flexible
Lightweight was key for me so this was perfect. It fit smaller and larger spaces available in hotel rooms and was pretty easy to set up. The little beads for securing items worked so-so, didn't really depend on them. Just hung things over as needed. If I had clips I would have used them, but didn't want to carry that weight. ... show more

  • Works great and packable
I pack this in my suitcase when traveling and it takes up less space than the clothes pins I used to carry. Attached easily on a back deck and inside shower rod. Gives me a clean place to hang clothes and towels to dry.

  • BEST TRAVEL CLOTHESLINE EVER!
This tiny, light weight clothes line was perfect for a 2 week trip that necessitated washing clothes a few times. It is easy to use. I took advice by one reviewer and used the small, flat plastic "clips" used to seal bread bags as "clothes pins" and they worked great. Just tucked a few in with the clothes line. You cannot go wrong with this clothes line! ... show more

  • Wow great product but in 2 mins I noticed a flaw
Wow so very small and compact. I was very excited to try this product out before my big trip to Italy Greece and turkey. I put the line together just like in a bathroom on my travels. I used the quick snaps to hang my first piece of underwear and then my second. I was like perfect what a great product. Then I hung a T-shirt. Perfect no problem. I was about to tear it down and wrap it all up when I noticed I had used 3 claps and there where only 3 left. I was like are you kidding me only 6 total claps, so you can only hang 6 pieces of clothing. That’s not enough, I need at least double. How did they not figure this out in product testing. Wow it took me 2 minutes. Well anyway I don’t know what I’m gonna do. Take it back our test it on my trip. But for sure I’m concerned. ... show more

  • Definitely feels compact and lightweight.
Good size for travel. I love how small and light it is. I haven't used it yet. I trust the brand, so it must work. The "beads" that come on this are loose, like they wouldn't hold much pressure against the clothes as intended, but in that case it would still function overall as a standard clothesline. ... show more

  • Compact, Lightweight, & Sturdy.
This sturdy clothesline comes in a small case. It's perfect for travel, as well as at home. I think it's also an excellent item for hiking & for general emergency use. It could be used as cordage. I bought two more to keep in my backpack & in my Jeep. Many uses!

  • Average - I'd rather go to a laundromat!
I read a bunch of travel guides about what to pack before going to Italy for a month this past summer and a lot of them mentioned that it would be useful to be able to do your own laundry, so I proceeded to look for a travel clothesline. There weren't very many options on Amazon (the one that I liked the most was on a different website, which charged shipping), but I think I chose this one because it got decent reviews, it was reasonably priced and most of all, I wouldn't need to bring clothespins! Turns out I didn't really need a clothesline, but I did use it once when I took advantage at one hotel that had a free washer but no dryer. PROS: It is lightweight, quite long and relatively easy to use. I liked that the ends were adjustable so you weren't really limited to what you could attach the line to. It has built-in little black knobs that you can move to hold up your clothes so you don't need clothespins. CONS: You have to fold it up carefully, otherwise it will be very difficult to get in back into the teeny bag it came in. There's kind of a lot going on with all the strings, so it has the potential to get tangled and confusing. Even though the line is long, once you put clothes on it, it sags, so then the clothes kind of slip down into each other unless you hang them by the knobs. This is even more of a problem because it can be difficult to find things to attach the line to so if you can only use doorknobs or things not too far from the floor, your clothes could be sagging to the floor! ALSO, the knobs have their own cons. The knobs work by squishing a part of your item in between two knobs. However, there aren't that many so that severely limits how many items you can hang this way. At the very least, you'd need two for one article of clothing but in reality, for anything bigger/heavier, you'd probably need four or more. I think it came with around 10. Even if there were more, though, I didn't really like using them because they create a scrunch in my clothes, kind of like the annoying dent you can get when you use certain hangers. Since I already bought it, I'll try to make use of it, but if I had been able to test it out first, I probably wouldn't have bought it. I think that it can still be a useful product, but for a traveller going to a specific place, like camping in the woods, where there would be a lot of trees that could be used to hang the line high off the ground. OR for a specific type of traveler. Imo, it would work for a single traveler who likes to pack very light and thus, does laundry often but only a few pieces at a time. If he's only washing a few items, then perhaps the number of knobs and problems with line sagging wouldn't be that bad. Honestly, if you are not that type of traveler and/or you're not going to the woods, I suggest minimizing the hassle of lugging a bunch of laundry stuff with you and the effort in trying to make it work . . . if you really need to do laundry, try to find a laundromat! ... show more
