The brush is quite brittle, which is exactly what I was looking for. It may be a bit stiff at first, but it's super effective at getting off dead skin! I use it nearly daily before and/or after showering and I've gotten comments on how smooth and soft my skin is. It might be slightly uncomfortable at first, but I think it feels amazing! I'm surprised the rate features section has the "for sensitive skin" because it actually hurts a little for sensitive areas such as the inner part of your thighs. It will take time for you to get used to it. However, in general, it's good... Pro: I used it as my "shower scrub", and it leathered very well with tiny body washer gel, the body washer gel won't get loose and flow away as the silicon similar brushes due to this brush has a very good "brush density". Con: It's generally comfy but due to the use of the "Fabric Elastic Bands", I started to see the fabric bands start to discolor and some black mold already growing around it. However, it is marked as "post shower brush" that's why no point is deducted here. PS. I honestly don't know where this brush is considered "eco-friendly", it's mostly constructed by plastic parts. The only "eco-friendly" part is the bamboo backplane, but it's held together by glue as well... (-1 star cuz the misleading marketing term) ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I bought this for exfoliating for the summer. It’s a sturdy product, good size and fits in my hand perfectly. I looked up what directions to brush and if you follow a guide they can show you how to use it properly. The bristles are stiff but bend enough. You can instantly feel your blood moving after using this! And you can definitely tell a difference in skin softness as well. I have been reading about dry brushing and wondering what the difference was between dry brushing and exfoliating (in the shower). I found that exfoliating wet skin is more abrasive and when I thought about it, I actually realized that I've been doing it for years and still have dry skin and get ingrown hairs. I got this dry brush and used it on my upper arms before getting in the shower. My upper arms are always dry and peely, even when I put lotion on after a shower. After ONE use of this brush, no more peely dry skin on my arms. The strap to place your hand in is useful for most, but I prefer to hold the brush in my palm. It does feel a bit weird and rough on the skin at first, but you get used to it. I think I am so used to using a wet exfoliating cloth that the feeling of dry bristles on my skin felt kind of rough, but if you use it gently, I think it's really just a mental thing. I read online and from other reviewers to brush towards your heart wherever you are using it on your body. It's supposed to help with lymphatic drainage too. I like that this is gentle enough to use everyday and still effective if you use just a couple times a week. Use it with an in-shower oil and you'll be so soft and smooth! if you're thinking too hard about it, just get the brush. It's worth the time! ... show more

I'm not sure exactly what the bristles to this body brush are made of, but I fear they are synthetic polymer (e.g. plastic). Bad for the environment, but good for animals I guess. Still, this body brush is a godsend. My use is unique in that I'm not looking for vanity or cosmetic use, but rather to scratch very itchy skin due to a medical condition-- without causing cuts to my arms. For that purpose, it works extremely well and has allowed me to stop using hydrocortisone and calamine lotion. Some people may find it to be too rough, abrasive, or scratchy, but I find it to be perfect. Just enough texture or aggressiveness to take off a dusting of skin and satisfy the itch, but not so much as to actually cut. I will be ordering another as a spare.
