I purchased this as air filter with light white noise (fan) for in my 2 year old son's room. He's about to start school and I know there will be lots of germs flying around. I love the look overall, see photos for reference size comparison to other room objects. It's not very heavy, fits nicely on top of the shelves, and has a modern look. I have the bigger shark air purifier in my master bedroom and love it so this seemed like the natural progression for the toddlers room. I turn it on during naps and night time and it puts off just the right amount of white noise I wanted on level 3 of 4 modes. It is very impressively quiet on the low 2 modes. I love the feature that I can turn off all the lights on it so it's not distracting at night when on. I decided to remove the air freshness addition on the top as I found it made a very strong fragrance smell, but that would work well in other rooms not dedicated to a little one. Bought this for my wife, who has respiratory issues. It works better than I expected. It measures the air quality and adjusts the air flow up when the air is poor. The filter seems to have a long life. I looked this week enough I bought 2 of the smaller size units, one for my office and one for my cabin. I especially like the shut-off timer for my office- I turn it on in the morning and it shuts off in the evening after I depart. ... show more

This morning I was getting out of bed putting on my pants when I began to fall backwards. I was terrified because I am a very large man going through a very thin glass door. I thought I was gonna going to go right through and get all cut up and covered in glass and whatever else is in my mess of a closet. Who knows what could’ve happened, luckily our shark air purifier was sitting there in front of the glass and landed on it. I am 290 pounds and this thing held up like a brick. Expensive in comparison to others on the market. It does seem to work well in terms of keeping the air clean. I do like the digital display that shows the air quality. The odor cartridge that came with it noticeably had a nice scent for maybe a week. I have only kept it on low because I don't like my air to be super fragranced. It ran out pretty quickly and I'm not sure it even makes sense. They only provide 1 cartridge. I'm sure there's a way to buy more but like why do I want to do that? This was an expensive purchase and I think everyone needs air purifiers in their home because our air quality is SO important. Overall I would recommend, I just wish the manufacturer would make the scent cartridge more useful. It does seem to clean the air very well. I bought these for the bedrooms in a split level house, and the larger one for the main area. The air is noticeably more clean. ... show more
