This unit is easy to use and works when you need it. We have it in our restaurant seating area which is about 4800 cu Ft. This unit is supposed to take care of 2500 cu Ft, I believe. However, it works great in our seating area of 20X20X12. I noticed it instantly detects foul orders (dirty mop buckets, garbage cans rolling next to it) and instantly kicks into another gear to clear the air when in auto. The turbo button (not sure it's called "turbo") is a a good way to prep the area if you know you'll be working in the area. We just opened and this came in handy during and after our restoration. It is quiet and looks really nice. It is easy to move and has many control options. We use the auto mode while open and manually turn it off at night. It has a timer and scheduler but we've not used those features yet. There are a lot of filters and many extra filters. That's a nice bonus. A little on the pricey side, but for the volume of air we ask it to clean, and all its features, it's worth the investment. Strange this is, after I've been working all day and stand next to this unit, it kicks into high gear and the indicators show "dirty"... Maybe it's trying to tell me I need a shower? ... I take it that the sensor is tuned to sense humidity and sweat and reacts to conditions in the air. Love this unit, I recommend purchasing. ... show more

I bought this and it was delivered the next day! It's a lot bigger than I had expected. Says it cleans 1200 square feet. My house is about 1100 and nearly 100 years old so you can imagine old dust and mold that you can't see. It has an indicator light telling you the quality of the air. When I first turned it on it said, "TILT!!" Within 2 hours it was down to normal and I could tell a massive difference in the air quality. I have a dog so there is dander. I have a large cockatoo and they put off a white powder that gets on everything in the house like dust. I have a sensitivity to gas heat and stay sick until the AC is back on again. My lungs always feel raw and sore. Not after sleeping with that thing running last night! It actually smells sweet in the house and I woke up and my lungs weren't sore. Those that are overly picky about noise won't like it on high setting. It does make a roar but not bad. I like the sound of a fan running for background noise. Most of the filters have a 20 year lifetime to them. There are extra filters that come with it as well. That's very nice. It is on rollers and you can move it around with ease. It's not that heavy. If it keeps me well and feeling good this winter then it was worth every penny. I've tried other machines and they just don't work and you are eaten alive by the cost of filters that you have to change constantly. These filters are washable. ... show more

First impressions of the NuWave air purifier, big, powerful, nice looking and very quiet on lower settings. Even on top setting where it blows a heck of a lot of air it isn’t impossible to sit next to it. The Nuwave is a lot bigger than my Sans but with comes with obviously a much more powerful fan and has the added flexibility of an app to control it. I decided to get a second purifier for the main part of the house and use the Sans in my often dusty bedroom. I like the Sans but was drawn to the NuWave as it has several filters and a couple of them are washable and they provide spares of the other filters. There should be no filter replacement costs for five years at least. In fact when I got it there was a sticker saying if I registered my NuWave they will send me figure spare filters for free. I will update the review if anything changes but right now I am delighted with my purchase. Let’s see how it performs over the coming days! ... show more

So thrilled it came with an extra set of filters although I hope I can find them still in 20 years once they need changing. Well not all of them last 20 years so read the manual. The auto feature worked great for a month then stopped working. I did my best to clean the auto sensor and had no success getting it to work as well on auto mode. That said I just use the app now from my phone to control its features. Best air filter I’ve had. When my roommate cooked with oil or if any smoke occurs this thing really does a good job. The house smells great and now there is minimal dust in the place. It’s not cheap but worth it for me! ... show more

Over all I am happy with this purchase. The air quality seems to be better( less stuffy ). There is less dust but still more than I care to have but we do have 4 dogs and two cats. It completely takes care of all odors including perfume, cooking, pets, smoke from outside, cleaning products (bleach...) and many more. The air system is not air tight like a hepa filter is. I can see dust building up on the wall where the system blows the air back out. There is also dust build up on the exit grate of the machine. However, it does collect a lot of dust and stuff. The filters are proof that it is doing an impressive job of giving us cleaner air. It moves a lot of air so I figure if it doesn’t catch every particle the first time it will catch it eventually. We haven’t been sick since we started using it so it must be taking care of the viruses. The touch controls are easy to understand and use. The noise level is low. We leave the machine on all the time and we hardly notice that it is on. When we use it in turbo mode the noise level increases quite a bit but tolerable. I like the nighttime feature so we can leave it on but it’s indicator lights go off. We are pleased with it so far. ... show more

My elderly father moved in with us towards the end of his life. He was dying of cancer and was incontinent. The smell that permeated our house was beyond awful, and no spray could eliminate it. We even ended up with 9 dogs in our home, and 5 of them are intact males requiring belly bands to avoid marking. The dogs didn't smell as bad (cancer sucks!) Within one day of receiving this unit, the air smelled fresh. We had a large group of people pay last respects, and nobody smelled anything amiss! I HIGHLY recommend this unit! We only needed it for a short time, because, sadly, his cancer was extremely aggressive and took him in a week. We still use it, though, because...well, 9 dogs. ... show more
