We bought 2 of these to try and keep allergens down in our pet-friendly house. It works great and is SO quiet! I had to ask my husband if they were actually on. This is the second one I have purchased because I really like the option to heat or cool as it purifies the air and it actually does a good job. You have to keep the filter clean regularly. You don’t have to necessarily change it all the time if you wrap it and clean it good regularly. I have really enjoyed mine. They do a good job for what I use mine for. There is one thing I haven’t figured out… what do you do if you lose the remote? ... show more

I purchased this for a discounted, albeit still expensive price on cyber-Monday. I was dismayed that the interior box was significantly damaged and was worried the unit was also going to be damaged, but it appeared to be fine. I called the company (Shark) to ask if I should return it and to ask if an instruction manual was supposed to be included since one was not in the beat-up box. I could not get anyone on the phone, and no one returned my request for a call-back. For as much as consumers pay for this product, customer service should be better. Now on to the unit itself. I love it. Prior to receiving this, I had an air purifier, tower fan, and space heater all set up in my room (1950s home), not very efficient. The all-in-one design was very appealing. I've now had a chance to use all the features, fan, heat, and air purifier; they work extremely well. The fan puts out cool air, the heat has been a godsend in the recent cold temps, and air purification has helped with allergies. The unit is quiet even at the higher settings, the remote feature is a plus and comes in handy when needing to make adjustments in the middle of the night. You can adjust the brightness of the displays which is also a plus. The drawbacks...there has been a persistent plastic smell with the heat running. It has improved, but I still smell it when I turn on the unit. Am I doing something wrong?? Idk because we don't have a manual. Also, sometimes on just the air purification setting, there is a higher pitched whistle noise, this doesn't seem to happen while the fan and heat are on or maybe those sounds drown out the whistle sound. Besides these issues and the aforementioned issues with customer service, I am very pleased with this product thus far. If the price drops again, I may purchase the smaller unit for our sunroom. ... show more

I wasn't looking for an air purifier but while in search for filters for my current one, I found this. I was immediately drawn in because it was floor model size, shows the air quality, and is a fan and heater too. It was a little bigger than expected as far as width, but not height. I like that it shows the air quality and it usually declines when cooking. Putting it on auto is great because as the air quality improves it lowers the speed level and vice versa. The sound is pretty quiet on the first 2 levels, and are the loudest on levels 5 and 6 but I would say no louder than any other purifier or fan I know. I also find it cool that you can set it to oscillate. It is a bit on the pricey side and for that I wish the fan/heat vent was a little bigger. I like that there's a remote control but I would have also liked the option of having control settings on the actual item instead of needing the remote to conrol it. The only thing you can do without the remote is power on and off. Also, for the price it would have been good to be able to switch between purifier and fan/heat mode not just manually, but with the remote too. Lastly, I don't care for the loud chiming noise it makes when using the control settings. Overall, I'm happy with the purchase. I recommend it if you want a good quality air purifier and if you're only looking to cool or heat a small area. I don't think it's a good replacement to cool larger areas. ... show more

I purchased this on 03/17/24, the unit works perfectly. Nice heat, good fan circulation, it does as advertised. My one very big complaint is, here it is a little over one month later and I received the electric bill and it went up $50.00. The unit uses 1500 watts period just to operate. That's a lot of wattage, more than my 5 year old full size refrigerator. So needless to say I will be looking to get rid of this unit. And that's a shame, cause it seems like a good product. Shark needs to rethink the wattage problem and come up with something better. ... show more

I used it for a small-ish room, definitely smaller than what it should be used for. pros: -quiet until level 4, after that you start to really hear it. -rotates nicely and covers a good area -the remote is easy to use and has good instructions listed on it. -can change temperature for the heater. cons: -remote is detachable but can't be used 2 feet away -the fan temperature can't be changed, it's just on auto over all I'd rate it 4/5, does the job but for the money, def could've been better. ... show more
