I rarely get to ride as much as I want. If I get out twice a week, I'm lucky. Now that winter is coming, I suspect that my bikes will end up doing a lot of sitting. It's just too cold to ride. The constant discharge/charge cycles that a seldom-used battery has to undergo are murder on it. Batteries are way too expensive to replace each riding season. In comparison, this tender cost me less than $20. My bike was already wired with an SAE connector to the battery by the previous owner. All I had to do was unbox this tender and plug it in. I put a dab of dielectric grease on the connector to keep it waterproof but it's not really needed. We'll see how it does over the winter, but so far my bike cranks with no problems, even when I don't ride it for several days. ... show more

Didn't work as advertised. Finally, the stars aligned, the cows came home & he11 froze over (I guess) and the thing quit flashing error warnings and it began to charge sometime during the second night of it being used. 'wouldn't buy another one like this; I'd have to opt for a more reputable one.

Bought this to replace a failed trickle charger I use to maintain the battery on my home generator. This simple to operate charger works great and has maintained the battery well. Light weight and includes plenty of cord length. Been running a few months now, consider me a satisfied customer.
