I usually do these ratings. As mentioned, this trimmer is a little heavier than I thought it would be. I'm comparing it to a Stihl corded trimmer. This works as well and maybe better on my arborvitae hedge. I sharpened the Stihl and used it side by the Milwaukee. I accidentally cut the extension cord. I'm not likely to use the Stihl again. I had several bushes that needed trimming and this Milwaukee hedge trimmer worked perfectly. The battery lasted a lot longer than I expected and only had to recharge once. I would recommend it.

    • Great tool, but of a workout
Big fan of Milwaukee products and the m18 line of tools. Functionally, the trimmer works great. I have used it on both small jobs, such as hedges, and large jobs, such as small tree limbs (1/2 inch or so). The only draw back is the balance of the tool itself. The cg is closer to the back rather than the middle, and the battery placement only exacerbates the issue. It's not enough of a problem to stop me from using the trimmer, but I mention it for those users that may not be as large as I am. For instance, my wife struggled while using it. I'm not sure what took me so long to buy this battery powered hedge trimmer, seeing that I'm already in the Milwaukee ecosystem having other M18 battery powered tools. This hedge trimmer is super nice and a pleasure to use! I went outside to "try out" my new hedge trimmer, and ended up just trimming everything that needed to be trimmed, and in probably a total of 10 minutes for about 8 different bushes/small landscape decorative trees. The thing is quiet, it's powerful, and I love the 24" reach of the blade. Should have bought this years ago, but I'm glad I have it now. Well worth the money, buy it. ... show more
