I bought these lights to use as Christmas lights for my carport. It is the second Govee product I’ve bought, and have been very happy with both. I cannot speak to the longevity, as I just put them up: but the app for the lights is outstanding. Very easy to link everything up, and has a timer for on and off. There are hundreds of programs with different light shows: way too many to remember them and go back to previous settings, but the variety is endless, and fun to flip through. They also have a dimmer option, which is easy to use and very handy. I know that it can be paired to keep with the beat of music, but I haven’t tried that, and probably won’t. I will enjoy changing the light show daily during the Christmas season. Very happy. Buy them. They are pretty impressive. God Bless ... show more

    • UPDATED!!!solution for bad adhesive AND broken strips

ok I'm completely updated my review. I originally rated it as 1 star I'm changing it to 5 based on the fact these lights ARE fixable... I have the 65ft ones and the 100ft ones... during install one half on my 65foot ripped...now I know everyone says that they can't be fixed but THEY CAN. you need a very specific 4 pin connector (ONLY for the 65 foot, 100 feet is a 3 pin connnector) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09DY6KLK2?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details&th=1 I don't know if the link will work but THIS is the type of 4 pin connector you need... now you may lose some length but you need to cut right at the edge of the copper (oval) connectors..DO NOT cut the copper cut past it, do the same on the part you want to connect (depending on what side you're on make sure the ends match opposite, like if you have the right side clipped then you need to have the left side clipped of the attaching piece... now with those clippys... instead of having the clip latch facing you and on the same side as the copper connectors, the clips need to face the back so that the conductive wire is on the same side as the copper make sure the pins puncture the copper.... I don't know if the little right angle pieces included work but the clips WILL make the 65ft 4 pin strips work full functionality. Now onto the adhesive issue... especially with the 100 ft at first the adhesive was NOT sticking at all.... I realized my walls have oil based paint... those lil alcohol swabs they give you aren't gonna cut it... you need 91% isoporolol alcohol you need to strip the wall of that top silky layer of paint (it doesn't really change the color, just lightens it slightly you can tell where you wiped so be precise) but wipe down where you want the strip to be and LET IT DRY, it should feel kinda tacky, the strips will stick to that...do small sections at a time and press the strip as you go... I did 3 rooms like this after the strip originally didn't want to stick at all. All in all the lights are actually awesome...yes they are a bit fragile during install and I have noticed that at least the 65ft does FAINTLY stay on (it's literally a pinprick of light in a few) and during install of the 100 foot if you touched that little black sensor? that is every few inches it would cause the lights to come on faintly while they were powered off but as long as you aren't touching them they don't come on. They aren't perfect and I definitely wouldn't pay full price for them but they go on sale enough that they're worth it. wifi connection was smooth, alexa intergretion is ok but they don't play nice with alexa routines, other than off and on. the govee app is a bit complicated on the customizing side, there's a bit of a learning curve but it's not bad either...Will update in a month or so or sooner if something happens and I may try to upload a video if my explanation of the clips was bad ... show more

When I checked over them the first time I must have missed this. There are 6 red leds broken in a row and I just got them yesterday. I already put them up so I won't bother ripping the paint off my walls but it's an inconvenience. Overall good quality and sticky. One thing I realize is that there is not remote. Not a problem for me but could be for someone else. Other than that very bright, perfect size, and weird to put up because it doesn't seperate at the connection. ... show more

These lights are very good for the price. They are bright, sticky, and there are no faulty bulbs. They sync with music pretty well unless it is too loud. They are also very easy to connect to your phone and WiFi. My only complaint is that they are on two rolls (I got the 100ft one) which makes them difficult to hang up. Update: Govee's customer service is excellent. They sent me a replacement and it works as expected. The LED is great when it works. It stopped working after about 2 months since installation. It's very disappointing since it took some time and planning to install and now it's dead. I have contacted seller and waiting response. ... show more
