This is another LED strip light that has a lot going for it. It is a little pricier than some of the other options, but it also offers quite a bit more length as well. They are much more affordable than Philips Hue options and they come with their own app that allows them to be controlled by Alexa or Google Assistant. You get two reels of 32.8ft. With that, there is a power module with built-in Y-split to go to the two reels with and an AC plug break-out, two reels of double-stick foam tape (extra as the reels already have foam applied to the back of them), a remote, and various fasteners for when the foam isn't enough. The power module that goes in between the plug and LED tape is your remote IR receiver and the brain that makes everything smart (wifi inside). The length of each reel can be customized by cutting the runs to the length you need (if they run longer than you'd like). The remaining LED tape can be put to the side and re-used with other RGB kits of the same style of tape (they can be normal or smart since the tape itself is just normal RGB tape) with the proper adapters. So no need to excess amounts in the trash (never waste something that can be useful later on). If you have experience working with LED tape, it's a cinch and goes together quickly. The only extra step is downloading the app (Ehome light), and adding the module to the app once it's been powered up. Then you can interact with other devices or set up scenes. For example, if you installed this running across your cabinets in your kitchen, and the kitchen main lights are also on a smart switch that works with Alexa or Google Assistant, then the light switch can be set up to turn both the lights it is connected to on, as well as the LED tape. Obviously, there are so many things you can do. Our only complaint about the app is that they should include images in the app store screenshots that contain English so customers get a better idea of what it can do before they download it. Thankfully, this only affects the app store experience pre-download. The double-stick foam tape seems to be fine, although it won't work in all situations. You want a smooth flat and non-porous surface to stick it to. If you find yourself installing this on any other kind of surface, you may have to find a clever way of attachment. Thankfully, this works in most situations (ie, under the counter, under the cabinets, across the back of a desk, etc). You just have to consider the fact that the foam is thicker than the normal flat double-stick tape that a lot of these LED strip solutions come with (not by much, but in rare situations, this "might" affect you some?). Connectivity to the app seems to work really well and the remote does too, as long as you properly point it at the receiver that dangles from the module. It's too bad it doesn't support the Smart Life app instead, as it is more commonly used for other smart devices as well, but the Alexa and Google options help to fill in this gap. The music feature is a bit more evolved than some of the other products that sometimes only give you three options. This one expands on this feature a little more. If you have anyone with sensitive eyes though, most of the options will likely bother them. All of the other modes are fine though (various fade options) and you have a full color-wheel within the app to slide around to set any specific color you'd like. They are a bit difficult to match the color of a normal warm or soft light bulb for some reason, but you can get so many other colors of your choosing. We liked these a lot. I purchased the 32.8 and the 65.6 sets. Both sets are great! They are a little different from each other. The 65.6 led's are spaced out a little further from each other as where the 32.8 are closer together. The connectors they supply that allow you to cut your strips and to make tight turns, they work fairly well. I have learned that you may need to buy more which they sell. Some of the connectors are flaky though in the wiring I found. Test thoroughly before mounting into place., I made the mistake of installing the 90 degree angle and then to find out red would not work or the color from that point on would be different in orange etc. I presume the red wire was not seated well? So I replaced that angle with some trouble since it was mounted, that fixed the issue. You will need good eyes or magnifying glasses to use the angles LOL they are tiny! I love the blue and orange for my theater. The Blue looks great casted on the black eggshell finish ceiling where it casts a night sky look, been wanting that for a long time! The back row I use orange to help foot traffic. I built this theater myself 12 years ago and tech today is awesome, so this topped off my upgrade! I could not get the app to work on my iPhone 8 with the latest ios. So what I did is add Philips Wiz connected outlets for both sets and use my wiz app (Alexa enabled) to turn the lights on and off along with my wiz lights in the ceiling cans. Oh and the blue matches the wiz can lights, really nice. The wiz outlet works great but it is a plug and all it does is turn the transformer on and off, color changes have to be done manually with the supplied remote. But I leave mine on blue and orange. The remote control is very, very directional, so place the Infrared sensor accordingly. And lastly one review said they don't have the thin adhesive already mounted, wrong they do. They also give rolls of double sided tape for super adhesive which I used when I had to remove the lights for an install error. For the up lights / ceiling lights I built a track and applied them facing up so they would fire up to the ceiling. The rear I call them downlights and faced them facing down. So when the main lights are on you don't see the strips , so the conceal so not to affect the look of the room when the main lights are on when not watching a movie. ... show more

I bought these straps lights over a year ago and they are still going STRONG! They stick to any surface very well. The lighting is a little off for me only because u get about 5 colors but they are cool and they are bright and the amount of footage in my place it covered was BIG! Some days it just won’t turn on. Come back an hour later and it’s fine. Does not have true white as a color option. Bright blue is what comes on for white. Easy to instal. Very sticky so take off the backer paper as you go, not all at once.
