Heavy, sturdy, easy to set up. I did buy a ceramic wool wick to fit in the bottom which helps the flame burn better. It is super easy to use and light. A full "tank" burns for about 45 minutes which is perfect for drinks on the deck before dinner. I used to have a large propane fire pit which died and was going to get another, but this is large enough to pretty much be a substitute. Plus, it's portable and I could move it to other parts of the patio or even inside my screened porch, so I'm rethinking getting another propane fire pit. I live in FL so need for heat is not a factor. It's just decorative lighting. I do wish it had a sturdy or heavy lid to keep rain out, but doesn't seem to be a problem so far, and the thing is heavy enough that it's not going to blow away. ... show more

This is a very nice item. Sturdy, and works very well. We use ours with the 90% alcohol, and the fire is so much like a normal wood fireplace without the smoke. The fire burns very cleanly, although there will be some soot on the inside of the stone chamber, which isn't a big deal for us. We aren't able to have a wood, gas or pellet fireplace or stove in our home, so this was a GREAT addition, especially on those cold winter nights. We turn the lights out and get cosy by our Colsen fireplace. One WARNING for buyers... make sure to place some metal or wooded trivets underneath this fireplace, if you're going to use it on a wood surface. We used ours 3 times on a wooden coffee table, and the heat from the button scorched our furniture. We placed three 1/2" bamboo trivets underneath, and now everything is fine, but running it without protection will result in burned wood furniture, as the stone fireplace gets really hot, and the felt padding the manufacturer places on the bottom doesn't offer enough protection. The media could not be loaded. This is my 3rd table top little fireplace I have purchased for guests that just love them when visiting. They burn alcohol and are very heavy and almost impossible to knock over. I love to use them while watching TV day or night especially if you want a little heat coming from your table in the TV room. ... show more

I caught on fire because of this product. No where on the label does it say how long the fire needs to be out before adding more fluid. I’ve had a fear of fire my whole life so I was crazy cautious and read everything on the packaging first. This day, the fire was out and had been out for a while before we went to pour fluid in (same kind that the product recommends) and we had used this fire pit many times before this. The invisible flame lights when it hits the fluid and I was hospitalized for third degree burns on multiple body parts from a 6foot high fireball. The product packaging and website are misleading and dangerous, please be careful. Wait at least 20-30min or more after fire is out to light again. The company will NOT tell you this ... show more
