sides allow heat to radiate to our feet. fairly durable. my second one. had to have the units feet welded, as they have cheap welds that did not hold after 2 years. otherwise great. light and easy to move and clean.

I waws very disappointed in this fire pit. It did not have instructions on how to put together! It had several dents in the firepit and a hole in the netting on top.
