I’ve had these for teo days and have worn them almost nonstop. I love being able to hear what’s going on around me while also listening to music to audiobooks. I’ve taken them on a couple of bike rides and have enjoyed that they work with my helmet. I have noticed that after hours of wearing them my ears and cheek bone area where they touch get sore. Just like any headphones or earphones I’ve ever used. I was hoping because these don’t go in the ear that they would be fine. But since there is some pressure created to keep them on your head after a while they are noticeable. They also press the ear part of my glasses into my hear and the tops of the backs of my ears. I should try the aftershocks with contacts only and see if that makes a difference. The battery life has been great. The lowest they have gotten to after wearing them all day was 60% (according to the battery gage on my iPhone for the headphones). I did not play things all day but had them on all day. With my AirPods I would have had to recharge them in the case at least two times if I had done the same thing. I’ve used these to call several different people on the phone. Everyone has seemed to be able to hear me clearly. But I’ve noticed I have to turn the volume all the way up to hear them. And sometimes plug one ear if there is too much noice around me. Using these with earplugs is the best. I am excited to use these when flying with the earplugs because I know I will actually be able to hear without having the valine going high. The sound quality is not the best. It sometimes sounds like it’s underwater. But I’ve noticed if I plug my ears or use earplugs it gets better. These are not noice canceling at all unless you use earplugs. The bass feels pretty good. I don’t know if it’s because I can feel it on my cheek bone. I bought the mini version because I have a small head. I wish they had an even smaller version though. I’m glad I did not go with the regular because I thing they would just fall off. ... show more

These are positively the best headphones I have ever owned. Hands down. Music sounds crisp and clear and beautiful -- even better than any of my home speakers. (Jazz sounds absolutely incredible!) And the human voice comes through so clearly and perfectly it's as if I'm sitting next to the person speaking. I had never heard of bone-conduction headphones until recently. We live in a neighborhood without sidewalks and with very fast traffic. For years I'd wanted to exercise with regular in-ear headphones (I walk upwards of 23 miles per week) but was afraid of blocking the sound of approaching vehicles. This Aeropex Mini has completely solved the problem. I can hear all ambient (traffic) noise -- even carry on a conversation -- while listening to music or a podcast. The Bluetooth connection remains flawless when I zip my phone into a running belt or leave it in another room in our home. The mini fits me perfectly (be sure to measure first) and stays firmly in place, no problem. For the record: I have no connection to Aftershokz -- in fact, I was completely unaware of them until about a week ago. But I had to post about these headphones. They are the best, best, best!     • Finally A Headphone I Can Use!

The two reasons I bought these. 1. My cat is super sensitive to the sound of my TV. 2. I have not found a set of in ear headphones that fit my apparently odd ear canal. These are a miracle for me. Light and easy to wear. I was worried about the use of the word “mini”. I wear a 7.5 inch hat and these fit great. I’m very happy with the sound especially great sound without covering my ear. They do not cancel outside noise however this is a feature I desire. I found it hard to connect to my devices at first. Then discovered that I had to open Bluetooth prefs while at the same time holding down the + volume. Then it entered pairing mode right away. Once paired I wasn’t completely sure it was connected. It took a moment to realize the sound wasn’t coming from my sound bar but from my new Aftershokz. Cool! Love the case and two charging cables. I have yet to use these with my phone or other devices. Day one, so far so good! ... show more

In many ways I'm very happy with the Aftershokz Aeropex Mini. I needed headphones that did not go into my ear canal. I was pleasantly surprised by the sound quality while still being able to hear background noise. Great for safety while walking, jogging, etc. Bluetooth connection works very well and quickly joins my phone or TV. Size and comfort while wearing the headphones is great. I measured and bought the mini. Perfect size. They are very comfortable even while wearing glasses. My disappointments are that I paid $159 for headphones that are delicate. I knew this when I purchased. These are not sturdy headphones that I can put in my bag without a case. However, the case that came with the headphones is a very thin silicone envelope that has no structure or solid surface besides the closure magnet. It's the grey case in the picture. There is no way that I feel safe putting these headphones in the provided case and thinking they will be safe in my work computer bag or even in my purse. The case is good to keep the dust off while sitting on a bookshelf and nothing else. So plan on spending more money to buy a case. I bought the blue case separately. It's huge. That's just annoying for this much money. The other problem is the material. If you have long hair, taking these headphones off without pulling out your hair will be a challenge. The only way to avoid this is to wear the headphones only when your hair is pulled back into a pony tail. Not exactly an option at work. I have straight hair that is just past shoulder length and find the hair at the nape of my neck constantly tangled around the headphones. These headphones serve a purpose for me, but I wish the material was better and that the headphones came complete with a usable case when purchased. These things fit like a glove. I’m a truck driver and I’m always listening to a podcast of some sort. After hours of the traditional in ear bluetooth my ears would hurt at the end of the day. With these.. I forget they are there honestly. I tried the pro, sound quality is better but after a day of wear of those I realized they are a little too big for me and left a few sore spots in my ears. I wish the pro sound quality was on the mini but it works for what it is. If you are one who loves loud music to drown your thoughts and block out noise these aren’t for you. The thing that confuses me is these are designed so you can hear around you and listen or talk but they send ear plugs. I know the sound quality is better but for me it defeats the purpose. I would recommend the mini for women since we have smaller heads generally. I’ve tested out how loud it can be before people can hear what you’re listening to and I can have it all the way up and unless I tell them to listen no one has noticed. Which is great cause I work with a bunch of men who make not so funny jokes. Haha **update. These are terrible for talking to people and or using talk to text. ... show more

I don't do many reviews. I ordered this nearly 4 years ago, yesterday I finally died. I would say of that 4 years nearly 90-05% of the days saw 4-8 hours of use. Was using it for tinnitus relief and it worked great. Sadly I have to wait to get them replaced

My son recommend this brand to me since I lost hearing in one ear and was no longer safe to use ear buds. The headset fits well with my glasses; the sound is good. I am NOT a music expert so I cannot rate the sound for music; sorry. Hence, the four star on bass and sound quality. I have no issues with audio books or music. There is no noise canceling. I do have an issue hearing (book or music) at busy intersections if walking. This may be just me though since I only hear out of one ear. I like these and have been recommending them to others. My son bought the top of the line of which I did try before purchasing the mid range. I liked the "mini" aspect as it sits close to my neck and doesn't interfere with long hair.     • Exactly like the aeropex, but for smaller heads.

This is a smaller version of the aeropex, which is an excellent headset for every day use. If you have a smaller head, (distance around the back of your head is 9 1/2" or less) then these would be a good option to try. They obviously hug tighter than the original aeropex, but this minimizes interactions between the headband and things like collared shirts, or anything that you might lay your head against. I absolutely recommend the aeropex in general, especially for listening to spoken word content, like podcasts while going about daily life. They're also great for teleconferencing and phone calls. They don't sound the absolute best compared to conventional headphones, but what you give up in sound quality is more than made up for in usability and convenience. The headlining feature for bone conduction is the ability to listen to music as well as your environment at the same time, but they also work with earplugs (which are included) if you're trying to block out loud noises. If you use earplugs though, just make sure to hold both the volume up and volume down buttons to switch the eq. This makes them sound a lot better with earplugs. Like the og aeropex, It uses a proprietary magnetic connector to charge, which i wasnt so happy about at first. After using it for a while though, I'd rather have this than a usb connection with a flap (like on the titanium and the air). Plus, they give you two cables out of the box and spares don't cost too much. Finally, the water resistance is no joke. I've been wearing the original aeropex all day, every day since it came out and they've held up to showers and rain just fine. Just know that the mic will take a little while to work well after the headset gets wet. I think this is because the mic hole gets water in it and needs to dry out. The aeropex is an awesome product, and absolutely worth a try. If the regular one seems a little too big, the mini is also worth a look. ... show more
