I own several of Wyze cameras. They setup very fast without any problems. The mounting hardware is very good. The camera functions very well with easy setup steps the app. The image quality is very good with fast capture rate. Night vision is excellent. The only negative is that the app icon on my phone does not indicate an event has occurred without having to open it up and check for new events…. It does a fine job of sending an immediate alert message text but if you don’t see it or check you can’t just look at your phone screen to see it flagged on the app. I have several other makes of cams and all the other apps on the phone Home Screen show an event occurred with a small dot etc…on the app icon. ... show more

I'm not sure what I'm reviewing, the camera, or the spotlight. So ill do both. The camera is awesome. I had another famous kind of camera, I wont mention by name. But this wyze camera is 10 stars. I've looked and researched, talked to family and friends. STOP. Look no further. and the price, don't let that scare you. you will not be disappointed. The Wyze Cam V3 is great, the image quality is good and the Wyze app is very intuitive to use. I like that even with a very dim light at night makes the image to be in color instead of black and white. The only thing I dislike is the fact that the Wyze app crashes after some time when I leave it opened to see a live view of my backyard camera. ... show more

This camera is awesome. The quality, motion detection, and features are all great. I put one of these up in the front of the house mounted under the overhang, and another in the back on our porch mounted under the overhang. I decided to purchase the mount, indoor/outdoor A/C adapter, and the add on flood light for the back porch camera. I wanted to have them plugged in at all times so I wouldn't have to take them down and charge them which is what these cameras require out of the box (without the separately sold adapter). I also decided to go the SD card route rather than pay for any cloud service. I am very happy with all the decisions I made, I have the security and peace of mind without any subscription or ongoing costs. The app has a lot of features too. Very easy to install and the app works great. I made the mistake of purchasing the amPlus subscription through Apple instead of directly through Wzye and it was pretty much useless. So I added a high capacity micro SD card and that allows for continuous recording. I got the camera and spotlight and after a year, bot are working properly. ... show more

3 stars because rely HEAVILY on YOUR Wifi. I bought 8 Wyze Cam3 cameras about 30 days ago. I purchased because of the hype, people reviews and the long detailed video done by the founder and developers of Wyze. I have placed them outside and inside my condo. I bought the CORDED cams. BUY EXTRA CORDS the ones in the box ARE NOT 6ft. OUTSIDE: If your wifi is not optimal these cameras will not work for you. Mine records, freezes and then miss movement and not record. I will assume it's due to the wifi. I'll buy an extender to see if it improves. The night vision is SUPERB. The pics and recordings are clear. I live in a metropolitan city where there is movement all the time outside my home. This camera picks up and records cars and motion a block away NO JOKE! INSIDE: They work really well inside IF your wifi is optimal. Pics are crystal clear, night vision is superb, distance recording is great. They all were easy to set up, install and operate. If you live in a major city or a place where there is constant movement buy the CORDED cam. Per the Wyze video these cams record when movement is detected so your battery operated ones will be constantly low. I like the cams and will probably love them after I install my extenders. Great camera. It’s magnetized so I put it on the outside of my refrigerator to catch myself sleep-eating at night. Lol yes, sleep-eating. The picture quality is fantastic. Night vision is amazing. Only con is that this little camera doesn’t pan or Zoom like my other cameras made by the same company, but I knew that when I purchased it.
