Just installed this on my 1995 Toyota Tacoma 4WD 2.7L a few days ago, and my initial impressions are fairly positive. It's difficult to make a comparison to the 26-year old OEM exhaust that was rusted into pieces, but this seems decent enough. A few issues: The bents are not mandrel bent with a smooth curve around the radius. There are pinches and folds in the bends. I'm sure there's no detectable difference in performance on a stock vehicle, but it's definitely a sign of a cheaper exhaust. And there are a ton of stickers on it, which is silly for an exhaust that's going to be at high temp. But the important thing is that everything lined up properly and fit exactly where the original unit was, and my truck is nice and quiet now. ... show more

This exhaust is fantastic for the price! It makes my truck sound like new. The previous owner of my 2001 2.7L Tacoma had put in a Gibson 18800 performance exhaust, which I found to be really loud and annoying. People walking in neighborhoods would turn around as I drove up the street due to the sound, and the droning on the expressway was the worst. A local, independent muffler shop had the old one off and this one welded on in 30 minutes for $85! ... show more

For the $$$ you can't beat this exhaust. Fit like the factory OEM & installed fairly simple. Hardest thing was getting the old rusted exhaust off. This piece will fit extended cabs as well as single cab trucks. The only difference is the piece of exhaust that goes to the catalytic converter, that will be longer or shorter depending on cab size and that is NOT included in this package. ... show more

The stainless in this exhaust is of lowest quality. It will completely rust through in a few years, and Amazon will not honor the lifetime warranty. Amazon even advertises on the listing that they are an authorized dealer and the full warranty applies. How misleading and deceitful! The manufacturer even said the warranty claim has to be made by the retailer/dealer not the end user. So i am out of my hard earned $$$ Consider yourself warned or you will be too.! ... show more

    • No issues on my 99 Tacoma SR5
Fits well. If you have a lift kit or longer rear spring shackles, you may have to lower the tail pipe hanger. I have a lift and just lower that hanger. Tail pipe wasn't touching, but was too close to the leaf springs for my liking.

My previous muffler (aftermarket) had an annoying drone on the highway that required turning the stereo volume up to hearing-damage levels. This muffler/tailpipe assembly fit perfectly on the factory hangers, allowing me to install it myself and then have the seam (where the smaller front pipe slides into the muffler) welded at my convenience (having the one joint welded cost only $10). ... show more
