Hell yeah awesome product! Only took me about 3 hours. I had to take the tail pipe assembly off in order to get the old gasket out of the flange. You will need a 2.5" exhaust donut gasket to replace the old one. I didn't even jack up my car which also probably added a little time but it wasn't too bad. You will need a Sawzall to cut the old converter? Resonator? Off. Also had to use a metal file because the end of the new muffler assembly that slips over your existing pipe came a little dented... so to make it easier, file & undent edges. Also use sandpaper on existing pipe to get it nice & clean for slip on. Time will tell how it holds up but it was relatively easy & it is super quiet again wow!! ... show more

There is an adapter to connect the front exhaust pipe to the catalytic converter needed. Unfortunately, it is not offered on Amazon. I needed a couple of trips to a local auto part store to get the part. Otherwise, an easy fit.

Arrived undamaged. Combined with Walker Exhaust 35336 Exhaust Clamp and Walker Exhaust 31598 Exhaust Pipe Flange Gasket. Replaces from behind the catalytic converter to the clamp just front of the rear axle on my 2012 Escape. Couple of sharp welds, but solid. If you watch Ryan Repairs on YT he had a good video aimed at beginners. Mine appeared to be a snugger fit then in that video, I had to use a pair of channel locks to slightly bend the old pipe in so I could get it started and had to pound it on with a heavy hammer and a block of wood. Don't forget to remove the stock gasket from inside the tailpipe section. I recommend a carbide blade for cutting the old pipe. ... show more

    • Absolute garbage
The biggest pro is it was cheap, but that's where the positives end. It's shipped with no packaging, and mine arrived with a partially collapsed pipe opening on the slip-fit end. I borrowed a pipe expander from Autozone and fixed it. I had no other installation issues with it, but once installed the performance is dissappointing at best and dangerous at worst. There were noticeable exhaust fumes in the cabin. I used a smoke generator hooked to the tailpipe outlet and found the leaks. To my surprise, there was smoke leaking somewhat profusely from the muffler endcap seams. I also could not get the chamfered connection at the rear to stop leaking, even with a new donut gasket. Awful design and manufacturing. Will not buy a Walker exhaust product again. ... show more

This was a perfect fit for replacing the stock muffler and resonator on my 2010 Ford Escape 4 cly. It is a relatively easy install if you're moderately car savvy. The hardest part is measuring up the length and trimming just the right amount from the feeder pipe coming from the catalytic converter (if you plan on keeping the current one), or else the brackets for the rubber suspension dampeners will not line up properly and the bend pipe of the rear resonator will not properly clear the rear axle and will contact the undercarriage and sound like someone is jack-hammering under your car. It's been almost a year and mostly still clean with minimal rust spots. This does not come with gaskets so I recommend replacing those as well.....your old ones will likely be degraded and welded to the old sections of pipe from years of heat and impossible to remove without destroying them. Highly recommend this replacement part to save you hundreds in labor at the shop. ... show more

Item doesnt just slide on as easy as it should. Also the way its packaged doesnt protect the end. so it gets smashed and is out of round. also it has a weird non stock drone to it. Getting use to it, but the sound is not traditonal.

Exhaust fits and performs pretty well. The inlet of the new exhaust is significantly larger than the outlet of the catalyst you need to reuse. I cut and welded a section of pipe to make mine fit perfectly. Not a big deal, but something to keep in mind if you dont have the tools. My exhaust arrived without any packaging sans bubble wrap on the ends. The muffler has several large dents in it. Won't effect performance and obviously it's not visible, so not that big of a deal. Would have been nice if they took the extra few seconds to wrap a piece of cardboard around the muffler before shipping it. ... show more
