Not sure if you can just pick your own hose to use in a hose reel...but if you could, I think this hose would be perfect for that. Basically I only had two issues with this hose. The first is that it seems really hard to roll up. It keeps wanting to twist in the wrong way. Maybe over time it will loosen up or something, but for now it is hard to store without it turning in to a pile of twisted hose. If it could be pulled into a reel though, that would solve this problem making it really nice. Otherwise how it is now I subtracted 3/4 of a star for this. The next issue I had was the hose end. Nice that they are heavy duty and all (actually really nice ends), but I had a problem with operating the on/off valve that comes on the hose with the sprayer I was using. As you can see from the picture the valve butts up against the sprayer preventing it from being turned on or off. Luckily (in this case) the sprayer itself has an on/off valve, but that isn't the point here. Basically I subtracted 1/4 of a star because I think there should be slightly more material on the valve end such that placing attachments on it doesn't prevent it's use. So between the twisting up problem and the valve problem I gave this 4 stars. The good...this hose is definitely very maneuverable and light weight. For a 65' hose (what I got) I'm normally playing a little bit of tug of war when going around the deck and yard. So much so that there have been times that I've busted stuff thinking I was tugging on the hose when instead it was caught on something and instead I just sent it crashing (ugh). I can definitely tell now when I'm just pulling on this vs it got stuck lol. Not sure about durability. I think dragging this around rocks and such will cause damage...so far I've only been using it on the deck and the front yard (which is mostly driveway). Of course this is only an observational opinion and not one where I've actually put it through the rigors. Still consider that if you are planning to use this in a way where you will be constantly dragging it around sharp jaded surfaced. Price I think is a tad on the high side...but if this lasts it will have been worth it. ... show more

I know that seems like a contradiction but it’s true. I thought a different item was in the box when it arrived because it was so light. Boy, was I surprised! It came in a nice canvas bag with a clear plastic window which will be great when winter comes back around. They also included 2 extra O-rings and a spray nozzle. The brass fitting that connects to the hose bib is seriously heavy duty, more so than any other brand of garden hose I’ve used. There’s also an on/off valve at the nozzle end which I appreciate. Every time I’ve gotten a new hose, I have drips when I turn on the water for the first time. I didn’t have one drip from either end which was another surprise. I hand tightened the fittings at the hose bib and at the water wand end, no drips. The hose itself is smaller in diameter than my usual garden hose, but it delivers enough water and pressure for my needs. This isn’t an expandable/retractable type of hose even though it feels and looks like it. I intentionally piled the majority of the hose in one spot then turned the water on. I expected to see that “snake slowly uncoiling” look but that didn’t happen. I have a large front yard with various trees, shrubs and annuals, and this hose reaches everything without a problem. Because it’s a light-weight hose & made of soft flexible material, I have no problems moving it through my vegetation, and then piling it up & out of the way when it’s not in use. The price point of this garden hose is a bit more than I usually pay but it’s also longer and comes with extras I didn’t anticipate. If it lasts through this summer and on to the next, it’ll have a longer life span than the expandable types I usually buy. Summer sun & heat will tell if the walls puncture or split and if they do, I’ll come back and edit this review. For now (in early spring) I’m very happy with the Titan Garden Hose. ... show more
