I ordered my Bionic Hose in Summer 2023 after seeing some positive reviews online. By April 2024, it sprung a small leak in the middle of the hose. Also, the sprayer attachment cracked. I liked the hose, but was very disappointed that it broke so quickly. The box advertises a 5-year warranty, so I expected it to last for 5+ years. That said, on Mon 4/8/24 I tried calling the Emson Customer Support number on my Amazon Order page, and to my pleasant surprise, someone picked up the phone quickly. She asked me for my shipping info, and created a replacement order for me. She just asked me to email them a copy of my Amazon receipt. By Wed 4/10/24, I received a reply to my email saying a replacement hose had been shipped. The brand new hose arrived 1 week later on Wed 4/17/24. Next year, I will remove my hose before the winter and store it in my house. I suspect that the damage was due to the cold weather (although it's not that cold where I live). I still give the hose a 5-star rating, because it's lightweight, doesn't kink, and customer service was fantastic. ... show more

Game changer IWas skeptical , after too many disappointing, and some disastrous experiences with other hoses- those that kinked-, or were too bulky and unsafe - ( one of which resulted in an injury due an unadvertised heft ) BUT this hose (50ft ) has it all!! Brass fittings ! Super water pressure - ( can wash a car ) ! Great for garden and lawn watering - allowing for ease of movement, lifting , and flexibility. Amazingly - DOES NOT KINK ! Very fluid and versatile. Actually , though sounds odd, this hose looks stylish and resulting in comments on how nice it looks ( who knew, right - a hose generating buzz) .. Pros: Great pressure Great attachments Super light Excellent maneuverability Excellent packaging No kinking or tangling ( OR “ inflating the hose to avoid tangling “ as many other “ no kink “ brands instruct ( which is code for : wrestling the hose with blood sweat and tears ). But - Nothing but ease of use here In summary : This hose adds value and enjoyment to the experience of using a hose I plan to buy another. Anyone who has arthritic , orthopedic- issues or injuries - should consider this hose. Pros: I love that it’s light weight , easy to use and doesn’t need to expand. Cons: Looks durable and I thought it would last at least 3-5 yrs but it didn’t. After a little over a year it started to get weak, I though it was my water pressure or my Nozzle was broken. Nope, removing the hose and I had water coming out of the faucet at full stream. The hose was clogging so I had to unravel inch by inch and it gets better. Unfortunately it became a common thing and to the point you can’t really use it with the nozzle. Customer service isn’t great to resolve or helpful: I recently attempted to contact the seller regarding the issue but unfortunately they’re giving me the run around back and forth asking questions. I gave them photos they’ve requested, they reply back asking for ordering number and said nothing in regards to photos I’ve sent. I gave them the order number in the first message, they didn’t asked it when they reply asking for photos of the hose. Dragging on back and forth day after day isn’t helping. So with no resolution , I’ve decide I had to buy another hose. I honestly did like the bionic steel hose but since I've having these issues with the product and customer service, sadly I’ll have to try another product. ... show more

My barnyard is a combination of sand and gravel, so I need to know that when I accidentally step on my hose, the gravel isn’t going to cut a hole in it. This hose does the J-O-B!! It holds up well and doesn’t kink so is perfect for my situation. The brass fitting on the end cracked after seven months, so I gave the customer service desk a call. I emailed a few pics and within two weeks, had a brand new hose. The CS reps are top notch! This will be my go-to brand from now on for garden and barnyard hoses. Well worth the cost! ... show more

Light weight, maneuverable and kink free make this style of hose a good choice generally speaking. However, the overall outside measurement is .624, measured with a digital caliper, so the inner rubber tube can't possibly be 5/8 OD let alone 5/8 internal diameter; which is how hose diameters are typically measured. The result is that the flow is insufficient to adequately supply a high coverage area sprinkler. Also, mine did NOT come with the ON/OFF valve as advertised. That would be a very handy feature if it were there. Those two features are what convinced me to purchase this particular product over the competitors. I don't much like being mislead, hence the one star rating. My past experience with this type of hose, "Bionic" and other flexible stainless hose brands, has proven that they are not really very tough. I am relegated to using a power chair, 390lb total weight, when doing yard work/gardening and have occasionally run over them on the driveway or sidewalk and that does damage them quite noticeably. The main drawback is that these hoses can't be repaired by simply splicing out the damaged area. So if you do anticipate occasional abuse, you might want to buy a few shorter hoses and link them for longer applications. That way if you crush one, you are not out the entire length. With that said, given my circumstances, I get along with these hoses pretty well. They are much easier to work with than the heavier, albeit more durable, rubber hoses. If only someone would make a 3/4 (19mm) outside diameter version to overcome the flow limitations. ... show more
