Description

Create a barrier against ants, fire ants, roaches, fleas, earwigs and more with TERRO Ant Killer Plus. This fast-acting treatment works within 24 hours to keep your home free of the most persistent pest insects, while also offering residual control. For increased effectiveness, this product can be applied as a perimeter treatment around the foundation of your home, spread on lawns, or used a spot treatment on ant hills and fire ant mounds. TERRO Ant Killer Plus is packaged in a resealable shaker bag to allow for easy application. Simply open the top, grab the handle located at the bottom of the bag, and start spreading the granules. There’s no need to use a spreader! To apply as a perimeter treatment, create a 3 to 10 foot band of granules along your foundation. To treat ant hills (except fire ants), apply 1 to 2 teaspoons on granules over and around the ant hill. Be sure to water the granules lightly immediately following application. To control fire ants, apply ½ cup of granules over, and 2 feet around each mound. After apply, gently water the product with a minimum of a gallon of water to each mound area. Avoid using a high-pressure hose, which could disturb the ants and cause migration.

Last summer I used the Terro liquid traps on my deck. We had carpentar ants so bad that my enjoyment of the outside deck was affected. I hated those ants. The Terro Liquid traps worked great for treating the carpenter ants but they were hard to keep on the deck plus the liquid inside the trap would sometimes spill out when you opened it leaving a gob of goo with dead ants in it. So the form of that product was it's most negative aspect. This summer, we still were not seeing a super high number of ants (after laying down the liquid traps the previous summer just one time) just 1 or 2 here/there but before they got bad, I wanted to place new poison down. Decided to switch the form to these granules. Sprinkled this around perimeter of deck and it was a bit of a mess as the granules are on the large side and beige in color so they were very obvious on our deep red deck. Because my experience with the traps had been so positive I knew that this new form of the product would be effective just unsightly. I sprayed it down with the hose as instructed and left it on the deck for about day (and more in some places) then swept/rinsed it away. Now I figure most of the poison granules are now below and around the deck still helping with ants so probably it was not designed to be used on deck in that way, more for grass areas. It's been 1 week and 2 days since I laid it down and no signs of any ants or any crawly insects at all on the deck. I am happy with this product. It’s easy to open and reseal and like the grated opening for the product to come out. It does leave the sprinkled product on the ground if it doesn’t completely dissolve,m which may be of concern if a pet or child can get to it after it’s gotten rid of the ant pile.

Easy to open the bag and works as easy as advertised, was enough go around entire house with a good 1-1.5 foot band. Always have lots ants hoping this and home defense I spray do the trick. Home defense seems to kill on contact but doesn’t last too long. I think rains wash that stuff away pretty quickly so hopefully this takes care of the nests. ... show more

Love this product. Will get again as needed. I used it on my perimeter we had a horrible ant problem on our stairs. The packaging was really cool just hold it and shake it in the area you want. Nice large bag, able to do my whole yard. Easy to localize in the area you want it.
