I film truck and tractor pulling all over the East Coast of the United States. I have used this stuff to affix GoPros to pulling sleds that are like full size trailers pulled by semis. They get pulled by competition up to 40MPH going down a 400 foot track. This stuck just hold everything in place. These cameras cannot fall. They just can't but operators and owners as well as promoters of events love that ride on coverage. I use this to shore up tripods and maybe hold a table in place or tidy up cables, and even tape over cables where people have to walk over them. I do feel as much as I use, I need a knife to cut the tape at times. I just have to be careful to not cut into cables. This stuff works! ... show more

    • Best gaffers tape I have used
I've been using this for a few years now for taping down cords and wire covers during events. I've tried at least four different brands during that time and this one is the best by far. The adhesion is the most important factor, and this tape adheres better than any of the other gaff tapes I've tried. Additionally, it tears off the roll easily and removes easily when it is time to clean up after an event. Unlike duct tape, it leaves no residue either, which is the whole point of using this tape. From my observations, this is for short-term use. I've tried using it to tape wires down long-term, and after a few months it begins to peel up on its own. When removing the tape, make sure it doesn't stick to itself around a cord or other device, or it will be very difficult to remove. As long as they keep the price reasonable, I'll continue to buy it. The price went through the roof when inflation first hit, which is why I tried other brands. It has since come back down which makes me happy. ... show more

I use pro tapes $40 heavy duty rolls or gaffer power for critical jobs, but I'm done buying Lockport and other cheap brands for quick temporary jobs or cheap gigs. Great for small shows and lending out to bands for banners, merch, 1-2 hour cable covers that won't be under tension, etc. Saves me a ton of money on the expensive rolls and does what I need it to! ... show more

Decent tape but the black face and the (white) backing don't tear exactly the same, leaving a hair of backing showing thru. Not sure it's quite as sticky as others, yet no residue and did the job for a short term use.

    • Thin, way too sticky. Can be difficult to get off.
It’s too sticky and thin so it just rips when you try to remove it. Would not buy again. I’d rather spend more on better tape.
