Although I usually wear sneakers (Asics running shoes) as my daily shoes, I was looking for an ankle boot for dressier occasions. These boots are so cute, and the extra stitching on the top of the boot really adds to them being dressy. I ordered the black PU boots in my usual size 7 and am so glad I didn't order size 6.5 as suggested. Since they don't have a zipper to facilitate getting them on, I need to push my feet into them to get them on. Although the top of the boot is plenty wide, I had a hard time getting my feet into these boots because I have a high instep. To be honest, at first, I wasn't sure I could get them on, and, admittedly, it was a bit painful to get them on all the way. I was wearing thin socks, and likely would not have been able to get these boots on with thicker socks. I did notice that one boot was easier to get on than the other. Once I got them on, they were very comfortable, and wouldn't have a problem wearing them for an extended period. As you can see from the pictures, there is a lot of room at the ankle. For this picture, I was wearing boot leg jeans which are wider at the bottom. For straight leg pants, I suggest wearing these boots with the pant legs tucked in. Otherwise, you will see the top of the boot under the pant legs. I believe these boots would also be super cute with shorter pants, shorts, or skirts since the stitching on the upper boot is very attractive. Since most boots require a break-in period, I am hoping they will be easier, and less painful, to get on over time. If you have a high instep, as I do, this may be a consideration for you. Although I haven't had these boots for very long, I can't attest to wear and longevity, but I don't think the quality can be beat for this price. So, I have decided to keep them. UPDATE 02/22/24: Today I got the pair of Taupe PU boots, and they are much easier to get on, and are also comfortable with thinner wool blend socks. These are keepers also. The black PU boots look and feel more like a slick leather whereas the taupe PU boots have the feel of a softer leather with no shine. Considering the price, these boots are very cute and the stitching give them character. I would definitely recommend trying these boots. UPDATE 03/02/24: I ordered a few different boots of this type and decided to return both of these pairs. Although they are very cute, as compared to other pairs I tried, these are too hard to get on. In addition, the width of these boots at the top would be more conducive to tucking pants inside the boots or wearing them with skirts or shorts. Since I plan to wear them under my pant legs, I don't want the top of the boots to protrude through my pant legs. I love, love, LOVE these boots. I like everything about them -- the color, the sheen, the fit, the heel shape and height, the stitching. Everything. I bought them because I saw a gal over the summer wearing similar boots paired with a little black dress, and thought it was such a cute look. So far, I have worn mine with a classic Johnny Cash outfit (all-black Western suit) and a strappy little black dress. Received loads of compliments. I typically wear size 7.5, but sized up to an 8 after reading the reviews, and I'm glad I did -- they would have been hard on my toes otherwise. I've been wearing them with a cushy cotton sock (but noticed that I have to be a bit careful about the seams on the toes of whatever socks I choose to wear). Easy enough to get these boots on an off, but they're definitely not sloppy on my foot. Highly recommend! ... show more

No blisters, but my toes were hurting by end of night. However we did walked a lot and they didn’t hurt worse than any other heels I wear. Overall super cute! Would def recommend!

I suggest sizing up half a size, since they’re pointed it makes them seem smaller. Very comfy and cute. I had asked a question to customer service and they responded a week later not even responding to my specific question. When I first bought them they were 18 for a size 7, then bought a bigger size and they charged me 24. now the price is now down again. Makes me not want to order from them again with their prices fluctuating so much. ... show more

Needed a pair of cheap going out shoes. For the price, they’re pretty good quality. I haven’t had any issues with them, they’re still 100% intact after a couple months. They may look a bit cheap if you examine them closely, but it’s not too obvious. Also, loveee how comfortable they are! These boots are stunning for the price, but are very narrow. I do not have wide feet and my toes are cramped. I’m a size 8 1/2 and bought a size 9. They slipped on easily, have a lot of ankle space and my big toe to the front of shoe has a lot of space too. But the width is very uncomfortable and hurts my toes when walking. I’m debating on trying a 9 1/2 but the rest of the boot, I already had a lot of space besides the width part for the toes. ... show more
