I have this camera mounted on my boat, and it is very good for monitoring movement on the dock. The PTZ motion detection is good, but perhaps not quite as sensitive as it might be even at the highest settings. Night vision is very good, though I do not like that it alerts upon detection with two red lights that might get the intruder's attention. This camera is only good for me when no one knows it's there. I have an SD card which allows recording, but it is clumsy to get that recording off of your phone and on your computer for storage or sharing. Lastly, the setup is quite simple, but the manual is outdated and intuition is your best guide to setup and operation. The settings and pages on the app do not match the manual in all cases. Origionally bought for my barn, would not reach wifi signal due to distance. Ended up using for my front door until I can get wifi to the barn. I would definitely get another for the barn at that time. They are a little bulky, but I dont mind. Controls are easy using my phone.

This camera is easy to set up and use. I like how you can get the solar panel that will keep it fully charged. The video quality is decent and honestly for the money it's actually pretty good. Only thing I would have liked is recording times longer than 30 seconds. It has really good sensitivity and these is a flashlight setting that turns on at night when motion is detected. Here is the situation that this camera helped me solve, perhaps it will help you as much as it did me. Several months ago we had storm in Florida named “IAN” It traveled across Florida, I happened to be out of town when it hit, and I have several cameras in and around the house ( in the house plugged in and outside they are solar operated ) so while everything was working pre storm as the storm kicked up power was taken out as well as the internet and then I was blind. Now here is why this camera is so fantastic – when the power was out for 4 days my wifi was out as well, so although the cameras were solar cell operated outside the house they had no way to communicate the internet because there was none and I had no way of seeing what was going on. Electricity and WiFi which are terrific when there is power and when there is an internet connection however when you have a storm that knocks out power ( and with it internet ) you can have the best cameras in the world if they operate on wifi you are blind. The simple solution to a (hopefully) rare occurrence—have a camera that can communicate with enough power to get a signal that can be viewed on the internet. THIS CAMERA FILLS THE NEED. This camera has the simplest and cleanest solution I have seen. 1) Solar power – this camera will stay charged as long as there is some sun, on really bright days it will keep itself fully charged and ready to go.. 2) communications, this camera is cellular with Verizon, and T Mobile and ATT availability. The issue for me is visibility no matter what, and while I hope we never have a storm like that again, I know the power or internet will fail at some point and now I can rest assured that I have eyes on the ground. This is a great camera !! Easy install - fast download of the app and .. and I am proud to say it is a real problem solver for me.
