  • Very impressive
The media could not be loaded. I was doubtful this robot would work well considering its price, but i am very impressed. It scrubs and vacs my 12x28 rectanglular pool with ease. It has 3 modes, walls only, floor only, or both. The last mode basically does the walls then automatically changes to floor only mode to finish up until the charge is up (about 2.5 hrs). I like the pattern it uses for floor. Very efficient and covers the whole pool (see video recorded at 8x speed). Its filter won't catch algae, because the filter is not super fine, but it will scrub it off so that the pool filter can get it. After re-sealing my pavers, this vac gathered up about a half cup of sand that I did not know was in there. It picks up larger debris, but my pool is screened in so I dont get that much anyway. I highly recomment connecting your phone via bluetooth or wifi, as you have better control of its modes in the app, and a battery guage. I dont know yet how long it will last, but so far I am a big fan. Update: I am a bit disappointed in the wall scrubbing of this vac. It climbs walls and scrubs on its way up, and hangs at the pool water line for a bit, but then it stops the suction and let's itself float down. It doesnt sink straight down, so it loses it position. The next run at the wall is then way off, skipping large portions of the wall. It's possible that after 2 hrs of doung this it might randomly cover all the walls, but not from my observations. A better pattern would be to reverse while still suctioning and scrubbing the wall, then follow the same turning as the floor only mode to scrub right next to where it just went back up the wall. ... show more

  • Very good
This is my first pool robot. Pool is 16x32 The WORSE thing that I’ve found is that while in wall mode it occasionally hits the skimmer and of course all water is blocked if the pump is going. Turn pump off before to save from the pump running dry. My pool has sloped sides in the deep end at 9 feet deep and slopes up to the shallow end at 3 feet deep so I didn’t know how this would perform. It seems to do best with the sloped sides after it learns the walls in the shallow end first. There has been occasions where it doesn’t “climb” the walls in the deep end. It has to turn “up” so much before the propeller kicks in to hold it against the walls. The battery lasts as stated and vacuums up the tiniest of particles up to big leaves. The self righting feature works as designed. I have stairs in the shallow end and it does climb them. When it comes to the last stair and comes up out of the water it shuts down the vacuum part and after a few seconds it reverses back down the stairs and goes elsewhere. The floor only feature works good and it tracks very well to cover every part of the floor. It does seem to “map” out the pool floor as it doesn’t miss any parts in floor mode only. It does have problems in the deep sloped ends as it senses the slope and understands the slope as the wall and turns around quit often in floor mode. In all cover mode it is random about cleaning and has no set cover mode like floor mode. It does speak to you and let you know which cleaning mode it is in. The app is very helpful but the robot must be near Wi-Fi and Bluetooth must be turned on the phone for the app to operate. The basket is easy to release and clean. Other than it not sensing when it’s stuck in the skimmer this robot is very good. The one piece of advise for the engineers is while cleaning the waters edge in wall/all cover mode have one track be slightly slower than the other so it will sort of creep along the edge instead of bobbing up and down in one spot. I do this manually when I’m near it but this would be another “above the rest ” type feature for advertising. No compensation expected but very good advice for business. I do wish a replacement battery was advertised along with the robot. I haven’t called the number to see about getting a replacement for future use however. All in all I’m very satisfied with this robot and don’t see a reason to buy another competitor’s product as this does everything needed. ... show more

  • Things I Learned That You Should Know
I have used this now for several weeks. Here are some things that you should know: 1) While they advertise a removable and replaceable battery, I contacted Seauto and they told me it is not available yet either at Amazon or direct from Seauto. This is disturbing to me that I bought this for that feature yet a backup replacement battery isnt available. They gave no timing for availability. 2) The same holds true for all the other parts.. Filter baskets or other replacement parts. If you go to the website, nothing is there for purchase parts right now if something needs to be replaced. 3) There are 3 modes (All, floor only, wall only) I have an inground pool with a shallow and deep end and wanted to only clean the floor. The unit didnt do it for me, it only stayed in the deep end and cleaned the same thing over and over. Hence it will only work on the whole pool if I put it in "All" mode which requires more coverage, wear and tear, and battery usage. I wish it would do the entire pool in "Floor" only mode but it doesnt as it thinks the transition slope between deep and shallow end is a wall so it avoids it. This is really too bad and hopefully they can do a firmware update to fix this as it currently just wastes time and energy when I only need the floors cleaned. 4) While the unit does clean pretty well it does struggle a bit with leaves as it goes right over them and moves them around without picking them up. 5) In "All" clean mode the unit does come up to the shallow end but it prefers the deep end and spends more time there than the shallow end. Even though my shallow end is actually larger than the deep end. Makes me wonder exactly how intelligent the sonar feature is. 6) I find the phone app to be not very useful as it loses connection when the unit is in the water so you still need to pull the vacuum out to change modes or shut it off. I think the app may only be helpful for firmware updates. 7) While the unit advertises 2 to 2 1/2 hours of run time. It does run as advertised, however the last 30 to 40 minutes or so it does slow down as expected however it will no longer climb the walls and hence it stays in the deep end just cleaning that same section again and again. 8) As mentioned by others, because of the filter basket design and flap, quite a lot of the collected debris escapes out as you pull the unit out of the pool. This debris just empties back into the pool water. This is frustrating and counter productive. This being said, for the price it's a decent unit and seems to have a nice design. I am concerned about the filter parts as I can see them breaking over time from the use, making the latches and filter material brittle. I'm afraid with no replacemt parts or replacement battery available, if something does break the unit will be finished for good and I lose this investment. I'm accustomed to established brand vacuums that have every part available when wear or breakage occurs. And they are easy to acquire. Not the case here at this point. I hope Seauto fixes this soon and doesnt overcharge for replacement components if and when they become available. ... show more
