We didn't buy it for the piggy bank, we didn't buy it for the financial knowledge. We were mostly looking for a robot with a tray to hold things, one that is easy to maneuver for my kid (based on other reviews). Why, you ask? So my son could tape little note on the robot or put little thing that can stay on and use it as a remote control car to deliver to his friend's door from our car. What's even more amazing is that it allows you to record audio, so my son could actually record a message and play for his friend (not that they don't hear each other on virtual playdates, but I guess it makes the distanced hello experience even more personal). The robot is well made, material doesn't feel cheap, and has not tipped over even on rough terrain for us (have not tried over steep hills), but no, not on grass. Battery life is longer than expected, at fist I did not realize the back piece itself is the battery (was expecting something that looks like a battery after you open it), but I like the design as it makes it safer for the kid to handle. We have played with it on and off for the last few weeks, and made at least 3 delivery to my son's classmates and everyone was amazed at how well it worked. At first I was a bit hesitant because it says it's for age 8 and older and it seems to have a lot of buttons on the remote, but my son who is 6 was able to figure out how to move it without any assistance (while I was still trying to read the manual, he was able to play and figure it out on his old). If there is any complaints, I would say that I wish I could adjust the volume a little, it really gets a little annoying when my son tries to play with it in the morning when everyone else is still in bed :( Oh, and our dog is not a huge fan of this little guy. (Okay, my son came and watched me write the review and not sure if I should be glad that he CAN read, or that he knows more than I do, but he just corrected me that you CAN adjust the volume ... he just choose to make it loud so he can wake me up in the morning :( ... show more

The media could not be loaded. My 7 year old clicked on this robot while browsing robots because of the friendly cute looking face. We are in a "pretend robots are my friend" phase so I went back to look at it later and was really drawn in by the gift giving function. The fact that there is soothing music for bedtime is an unexpected plus and would be a nice addition to our routine. I can't wait to gift it for Christmas, but in the meantime, our 1 year loved dancing to the music while I navigated it around the room. It rode smoothly on our hardwood, but I will have to take a closer look at the wheels because it was a little shakey turning counterclockwise. Certainly worth keeping as I know my kiddos will love it. ... show more

Bought as a birthday gift for my son, we played with it to see how to operate it before giving it to him, 2 adults reading the directions and we were both very confused, it certainly did not operate the same way described in description, was not fun at all and as previously said it's confusing. "Piggy bank" feature isnt great because you can only fit a couple coins in it. Doesn't move in carpet well either. We returned it. Music wasn't "great" could only get 1 song to play. Definitely not worth $66! ... show more

We gave this to our grandson two years ago. Only now at 4 years old has he fallen in love with it. BUT we lost the batter charging cable and I can't find one to order online, nor can I find a way to contact the manufacturer. Would give this a higher rating if I could get the cable.

Also my little brother laughs and giggles every time it turns on. It's a really good robot and my family enjoys it a lot. This robot is worth the $$! I love the way it can do music. The media could not be loaded. It does what it says and my son loves it. Great little robot, plays music, moves on its own a little, is a piggy bank-doesn’t hold a ton but it’s functional. And it is pretty durable, my 15 month old has picked it up and dropped it a couple of times and it’s still working great. I would definitely recommend as a started robot. ... show more
