  • Good tool to have
I bought this because I wanted to be able to scan my vehicle (and help family and friends) potentially save a little money. This device is useful as it tells you more information than just a simple OBD2 scanner would. This device also has two features I wanted and would recommend you look for when purchasing your own scan tool. This device can tell you which TPMS (tire pressure monitoring) sensor has gone bad. Many devices that are near the cost of this one can't do that. Also this device can be updated wirelessly which I highly recommend as this is far more convenient because this does away with needing to use a computer and USB cable. I would definitely recommend this device if you're on the hunt for a scan tool that has some extra features and won't break the bank. ... show more

  • Good value for money
Used to reset the steering angle sensor in a 2015 Subaru WRX. Some dodgy translations, but nothing too bad. Touchscreen is nice and responsive. The build quality is there - it doesn't seem fragile. Saved me money already.

  • Not a bad tool.
Very capable scanner. Updates do take time. The android system is lagging at times. The wifi range is limited. 50 feet outside is almost it's limit. Touch screen isn't hyper sensitive and doesn't require a hard touch. The side buttons have a good feel even though they are a little spongy. The code look up is simple and the web browser is smooth. Lots of similar features as the snap-on and no false codes checking with both. For a at home scanner or just a diy learning tool. This is a good piece to have. ... show more

  • Don't Be fooled by 2022 Elite Version - Changed Review twice be sure to read all Thx.
I bought the 2022 Elite Version because it said Well "2022 Elite" I have found nothing that states anything is different than the non Elite 2022 Version, and yet it cost more money and I researched pretty hard. Even the unit itself and all info on the unit says nothing about "Elite" or what it is called, nor anything in the documentation that came with the unit. I'm currently updating the unit which seems to be working fine and at a good speed (I do have High Speed Internet). I might change my score when I actually get to use the unit after updating. I'm giving it 4 stars, and if I do not change my score anytime soon then unit is good and working as intended as I will only come back if I want to lower the rating. However unless you can find anything about the difference between the "Elite" and the "non-Elite" Don't be fooled by the advertising gimmick like I was and and buy the same one which is a little cheaper. EDITED - Changed my rating to 2 stars due to the following: USE CAUTION IF YOU BUY THIS - First time I used the unit everything was great as shown by above review. Went to use unit today 8/28/22 and it said it had updates, so I updated the unit with all the updates if offered. Hooked it up to my car and said it could not find the vin number which it had no problem with last time. I then manually entered car info (2015 Jeep Cherokee) and it showed everything with correct info except for the vin since it could not find that under the auto search. Clicked on health scan and the lights in dash started to go crazy all PRNDL lights etc on shifter console lit up, check engine light came on and scanner said car had tons of DTC's, (my car had none prior to this as I just wanted to see what updates it might have had, so I knew this was not right) turned off car and disconnected unit and set it on the front seat. Hooked up a cheaper scanner I had and it found 8 new codes that were not there but not the many form the other scanner. Erased those with the cheaper scanner, started car and everything was fine no codes or check engine light etc..... However upon rechecking with cheaper scanner to make sure all was clear I now have 8 permanent codes which I did not have before and I'm not sure how long those will take to clear or if they ever will. So I'm hoping their little update did not ruin my car's computer. The best part is the ArtiDiag 600S now will no longer turn on, so something in the latest update helped brick this unit and I now have a $250 paperweight after only using it successfully once. Amazon said I was past my 30 day return by like 2 weeks or so and so they will not help and told me I need to contact the manufacturer. So I have sent an email to the company but I have not heard a response as of this writing 8/28/22 8:30pm. I will keep my review at 2 stars until I hopefully hear from them, however I warn you to use caution if you buy this product. Its not good to be able to use a product just twice and to have it bricked by its own update! Good Luck! I'll post back again if and when the company does anything. If they do the right thing and help me I'll change my review once again, however I am now a little frightened to do any of their updates and I have no idea if my car will now develop problems. EDITED on 09/01/22 - Changed review to 3 stars now as a person from TopDon actually called me and we talked about what happened but I'm still a little skeptical on this unit. He did not know why it did what it did but here is a funny thing. I took it out of the box after the guy called me and before I called him because I thought he could tell me how to fix it. I Plugged it in and now it seems to be working again and had a 4% charge, although I have not tired it on my car again as of yet. The tech did not know why the unit performed the way it did but said that its possible the car had a bad ground or something? I'm not sure that is correct because my car gave me no errors before using the unit and I have not had any problem after except for the now permanent codes caused by the scanner malfunction, so that is a little weird. What I now think happened was the unit somehow lost all power/charge even though it was at 100% full charge and it was also charging while hooked up to the car as well. Still I do not know how that is possible but that's seems to be why it would not turn back on however he tech did say that it could have gone into some kind of recovery mode where the display will not light up and so it might look like it would not turn on (which is kind of dumb not to display anything while it is recovering but whatever) so I guess its possible that that is what happened and putting it back in the box for a few days it must have still been on and doing whatever it was doing for its recovery mode and then finished and turned off, as of this writing the unit is on and seems to be working. So bottom line is this could still be a battery issue with the unit itself and not a software issue. Maybe it charges fully then quickly loses it's charge in a matter of minutes? He said to call him back if I continue to have a problem so I guess that's what I will do. He did also tell me that next time I use it to start the car first, then turn off the car and then turn it to accessory mode and then hook up the scanner as it can lock out the car if something screws up. I'm not sure if he meant the unit locks out the car in its software or the car itself will be locked out where I can't use my car, which would be really bad? I questioned this as I thought it said in the book not to hook it up or un-hook it with the car power on but he said it was ok to hook it up while the car is in Accessory mode. So that's what I'll do and if I DO NOT post back then it is working and all is well. However for now I think I'll leave my Review at 3 stars. Time will tell. Thanks. ... show more
