  • Best coffee maker ever!
Color: Stone
Love,Love this Ninja! Perfect for us. We had a single K cup German made one that worked well. But this one is SO superior to a K cup maker because not only will it make single K cup, but because it has a separate basket for grounds, and the ability to make anywhere from 6 oz to 24 oZ - it is so versatile. And the grounds drip process yields a delicious cup of coffee, better than when we had to stuff grounds into a single K cup holder. The larger filter cup is easy to clean, and we make up to 24 oz at a time, we make 18 oz which gives both of us a large flavorful cup of coffee - but at the same time... no more doing his first, then mine... and if company is here - we can make a big pitcher of coffee by using the 24 oz...to serve 3 people. And we save money because I am not drinking nearly as many K cups. I love my coffee hot - and this way, we know for sure we have 3 cups of hot coffee and can sit down and drink at the same time. Drip coffeepots never seem to stay hot enough long enough for me. Highly recommend this coffeemaker. And the iced coffee feature is nice too. Compact design to store Kcup holder inside which reduces counter clutter. And the larger water tank is better than our old German styled K cup machine. Highly recommend this Ninja!! ... show more

  • I love this coffee maker!
Color: Black
We have a regular Hamilton Beach coffee maker but since my husband quit drinking coffee I could never figure out how to get the water to coffee ratio right. I've been on the hunt for something that could make a single cup or more at a time and after DAYS of researching I decided to try this one. +Let's start with my favorite feature, the generous basket size means I can make pretty much any amount of coffee up to 24 oz. +I love that the cup holder has an adjustable height, so no splashing. +Refilling the water tank is very easy to remove and put back in. +The frother is nice but I don't need it. +Scoop and basket storage is genius I've found that just under 2 scoops of grounds makes the perfect cup on the classic setting, I tried it on rich and it was too strong for me. I use basic Folgers and this thing makes my coffee taste smoother and fuller than any coffee I've ever made at home. The only part for me that was slightly annoying is the manual doesn't have very good instructions for making iced coffee, so I didn't know how to select the ounces whether it's the total for the cup or after ice and.... I might just be really dumb. So I filled my glass with ice, then water and then drained the water to see how many ounces that was. Haha I realize now you can put the ounces the cup holds and it adjusts how much it makes factoring in the full cup of ice. Unfortunately my favorite travel cup doesn't fit under the spout, but the cup holder is very sturdy and I just use a large measuring cup and then fill my tumbler from that. The footprint of the maker isn't all that different from my old one, it's so much slimmer but does go longer. Overall I would highly recommend this machine, it's very well made and you can tell they put so much thought into its design and just makes a fantastic cup of coffee. ... show more

  • Makes good, hot coffee. Much better product than my last two brands of coffee makers.
Color: Stone
I've used a Keurig & a Cuisinart for years. Both were dependable, but the coffee they made (pods or grounds) was always just "ok", and never really hot enough. This Ninja makes a far richer & hotter cup, and is especially good with grounds, which is what I most often use. It comes out of the machine at around 195F, and is around 175F in your cup when finished. Just right for me. It doesn't have a selection for just 'hot water', but all you have to do is put the (empty) brew basket in and hit 'brew' (You can also make a decent cup of hot tea by placing a tea bag in the brew basket.) I use coffee and chicory, which is already stronger than 'regular' coffee. For my first 'test cup' I followed the recommended # of scoops (3), which is probably on point for regular coffee grounds like Folgers, MH, etc. My advice? Use only 1 good scoop with coffee and chicory! It's definitely all you need for a good, strong, cup - and that was using the 'classic' setting. The 'rich' setting was too strong with my coffee brand (Cafe du Monde), but that setting definitely works as advertised. With the other maker brands I had to fill the brew basket, and the coffee was never strong enough. Not so with this machine. I'll save $ by having to use about 2/3 less coffee per cup. I like having the convenience of being able to use pods, when I'm lazy or in a hurry, but I really wanted a machine that would make coffee from grounds that tasted like brewed coffee, and this Ninja does it. Not to mention the pods are so much more expensive. I have the model without the frother, so I can't comment about that feature. The appliance looks good, has a very slender footprint (long, but skinny) and it fits under my standard kitchen cabinets, even with the 'lid' fully open. I can even fill it using a pitcher without having to slide it out from under my cabinet, which is really nice. It's close, but it can easily be done. I've only had it a short time, so I can't speak to how well it'll hold up, if it'll start clogging, etc. But so far, it's the best coffee maker I've had of this type. It takes a bit longer to brew than my previous makers, but as a result the coffee tastes like real coffee. It's worth waiting an extra minute or so. ... show more

  • Great until it broke
Color: Black
Great coffee maker overall. Pros; Perfect width, sturdy, heats up fast, froth maker works well, fits all size cups which was a must. You can place the cup holder at different levels so if you have a small mug it won’t splash. Also holds a good amount of water so your not refilling it constantly. Also has side compartment to hold the other pod holder/basket. Also lights up when need to descale as a nice reminder. Cons; not much for me except it was expensive and it broke 4 months later. Could just be a lemon so will see when new one gets shipped out. The company was easy to work with and will be sending a new one out but I have to pay for shipping. ... show more
