I wish I had taken a before and after photo. The seal on my daughter's front-load washing machine was absolutely disgusting with gross black mold. They bought a house and the previous long-term owners obviously had never cleaned the darn thing. I tried vinegar, baking soda, and several other cleaners and nothing worked. I bought this stuff and while it took two applications because it was so bad, the rubber seal is now mold-free. The kit even came with two sets of gloves -- not fancy, but they worked. And a scrub brush! There are a few stains that wouldn't come out, but overall considering its previous condition, I'm happy with it. Per the instructions, because the problem was so severe, I did leave the goop on for at least 5 hours. As expected, it does have a bit of a smell (not too unpleasant), so you might need to open a window. I also bought a magnetic door prop in the Magoog store that was the perfect simple solution to keep this from happening again. The door on my front-load washer at home stays open if I leave it open, so I don't have that kind of build-up. My daughter's washer door closed all the way so the washing machine never had a chance to dry out inside on the seal. A simple wipe-down once a week will also help prevent build-up. ... show more

I manage rental properties and tenants frequently will not care for front load washers properly which results in a lot of impossible to remove mold around the rubber gasket. My cleaners have stayed they can't remove this so I thought I would try this as a cheap trial since a replacement gasket with installation would cost a couple hundred. I scrubbed it on at first and it removed some mold but not much. I applied a generous amount, let it sit overnight, and returned to find a new looking gasket and no more mold smell. I purchased this product after attempting so many other remedies I looked up online for removing the mold off the rubber in my front loader washing machine. This has been the most effective solution I’ve found, however for my washing machine, it took a while to remove a good 80% of the mold that built up. I initially left it for the 8 hours it says however I noticed that a lot still hadn’t come off. I added more gel to the tougher spots where it hadn’t come off and left it overnight. Wiped it off the next day and a lot more cleaned up. Still some spots were not cleaned so I added additional gel and left it on for an additional 6 hours. I was satisfied with the results after all that, since I needed to do laundry I couldn’t wait another day. of course I will need to do another application. I did notice that just leaving big blotches of the gel on the mold spots rather than spreading it out worked for me. Wish it did work within the time frame it says on the manual, however since the stains were tough and building up for a while I wasn’t surprised it took longer. Overall, the best solution I’ve found for my washing machine. Not even DIY remedies could remove the stains. Will continue to use this product in the future. ... show more

I got this for my friends laundry mat and so far it has done good job with remove most of the mold that build up on the washing machine. What I really enjoy about this one is that it actually comes with a pretty nice brush to help with scrubbing and removing the dirty and grim. I also have used it for other cleans as well. The brush is not too bad but it is effective. The bristles have not really worn down and it is easy to clean. I would also like to note that the bottle is not as bit as what the picture is shown but it does have teh right ounces. I did not have to use too much when coating the area. You do not have to drench the area with this gel but just apply and spread with the brush. I still would wear gloves just to be on the safe side as the ingredients may react with your skin. The gel does not run too much so you do not have to worry about spreading it on the top and it collecting on the bottom when you apply it. It has worked great on my friend's washing machines and he just applies it every few weeks depending on how many customers he gets. The gel does take time to work and he found it effective it letting it sit for a bit before scrubbing it. There is a distinct smell to it but it is not super strong where he had to wear a mask. It is pretty easy to clean off when you need to. The gel does take a bit of a squeeze to get out. The tips are solid and the gel does not get stuck in the tube but seal it well during storage. Overall I think this is a great thing to have for cleaning most of the mold on the washing machines. It does not require extra applications and it is pretty easy to use. ... show more

I cannot see a difference in results. I gave the product a 3 star rating because: - Sellers support people did send me an email giving me a contact if I had problems, but I did not follow through on their offer. However, with a few tries, I don't expect much better results from any process. - It did provide a good cleaning of the built up grim, but it did not completely remove stains on the seals. I used on our washing machine. I just think one the rubber is stained, there is nothing that can be done. ... show more

This has been the only thing to clean and whiten the grout in my 1975 rental townhouse. I've used about 30 products over the last year and this is hands down the best! I applied it and allowed it to sit for about 30 minutes. Used the grout brush and rinsed it all away! Definitely a worthy product!!
