This unit is really a good window air conditioner. It is quiet for its type, does a good job and is energy star efficient. It is not going to compete with a mini split on efficiency but it costs less than 15% of the price of the least expensive mini-split before installation. I figure it would take the better part of a lifetime to save the price difference on the cost of electricity based on the greater efficiency of a mini split. Let me start by saying that the first window AC I got was defected it made alot noise it would not thow cold air and the led from ac kept acting up also I would wake up sweating and the noise it made was loud especially at bed night it scared the baby Jesus out of me three nights and mess with my sleep schedule. so I call amazon the for refund but I wanted give it another try and got replacement good thing ups does pickup. Well first off the ac wings are real well made it dont seem like it break easy so far they stay in place and hold right and firm, well I had the replacement ac for a couple of weeks now. The replacement ac I got works way better then the first one I had gotten from Amazon. The led light temperature number works well and the remote works to but got press bit hard some times the only thing I didn't like it is a coin battery remote but is ok I got a rechargeable coin battery in case the battery dies it be nice if the remote was AAA or AA but oh well. The ac is some what loud but not loud like the first ac I return to get my replacement. For the room to be cold I have to leave it on 66 or less and for my room to get so cold how I like it also on cold the fan speed is adjustable from auto speeds to 1, 2 ,3 also it has eco built it to save you energy. I try the dehumidifier mode works well too you can adjust the temperature just not speed. if you want run in fan mode the speed mode is all adjustable just not dehumidifier mode only the led temperatureis adjustable. So far I like it it does its job the wings hold right in window and is not the heavy for my window and can be clean by open the front filter which I love because the ac with the side filters give me headaches. Right now my room is cold and I love it. side note the ac compressor is some what more open then other ac so make sure your grass is cut right and nothing Flys in side the ac . Unit arrived on time in good shape. Packed well. Set in a window the next day after letting the unit sit 24 hours. The unit then sat in the window for another two days before we turned it on. Installation was quite straight forward however I have set others in place and know the drill. If you have done it once before, you know it also. Weight and balance - good. Rear fins, a few needed straightening but no big deal. If I ever get a window unit where all the rear fins are pristine, that will be a big deal. Balance of the unit is good, I have lifted a few where the weight is concentrated on one side and just think of what that does to a window frame over time. Here is a tip for what it is worth, go to the big box store and get some pipe insulation, the dark rubber type that encircle the pipe and looks like a pool floaty only smaller. Cut it to fit across entire bottom of window prior to setting the unit in place and let the unit crush it using it as a cushion and resting on it. It will take and absorb vibrations of the unit and make a great seal underneath. Everything else on installation the same. The unit is not heavy at least for me. Controls seem intuitive once you have turned it on once or twice. Noise is OK with fan blower noise overriding compressor noise. That said, fan noise is fully acceptable. No rattling, just whooshing white noise. My wife got sent home to work since the virus and this is in the room we set up for her. She works with this on for all her work day and has told me that she really does not notice it after a short while. It cools the room well, and dehumidifies well also. We have the room open into a hallway and it provides cooling for a second room. Both rooms are on the north side of the house along with the hallway. Does the square footage of all these rooms exceed the BTU rating? Yes, by a little however it still cools very satisfactorily. OK, would I purchase this again? At this point I will say yes with no hesitation. I will try to update this once the summer really sets in. ... show more

It is a nice unit for my needs. I bought it for my bedroom which is a normal size. It cools it down easily but it shuts down to low after doing so. I don't know why but it doesn't matter even if it is on high, once the room cools down the fan and temperature changes . The temperature will say 62 but the temperature will feel like a fan is blowing. The remote is not useful at all. I do like the unit I just have to turn it on and off again and then put it back on high manually. It also tells me when the filter needs to be cleaned which I like. It meets my needs. Update : I am totally bummed I feel like I bought a $100.00 special. When summer went into full swing this air conditioner took a nose dive. I bought it for my bedroom ( which is not big ) it feels like the room is room temperature. The fan while on high is very low it has the power of my last model when I put it on low. The cold mode does have cold air on ( keep in mind low air power ) but what really makes this junk is that shuts itself down to fan on its own. Although it is on high fan and high cool ....it shuts down to a fan . The way it would if you have it on energy saver or automatic . The problem with this is that the room isn't cool so the little it did do is now lost. I have tried ( during the day) turning it off and on again, changing the mode.... nothing. I would've been upset if I spent $100. forget this price point. I can't even say a glorified fan because the fan pressure is not as strong as a fan would be. I had bought another unit from this company for my livingroom the same btu's it works fine I wish I bought that model and I have no door to separate my kitchen from my livingroom. If you're looking for a cool summer, I would recommend buying something else. 🤦♀️ ... show more
