I remember when these came out, at Sharper Image they were hundreds of dollars. This is a perfectly good unit and is pretty powerful. Most attachments are just hard plastic and unusable and I wish there were more than 3 speeds, it's pretty much hard, harder and hardest. I'm ok with that most of the time. ... show more

Love it! Highly recommend. Having chronic shoulder and back pain I’ve owned a handful of handheld back massagers and this has become my favorite because it’s not a noisy jackhammer like that expensive, massive-head-ET-looking white one. Time will tell on motor life but so far I’m sold! This tool is powerful and not nearly as heavy as ET head, and whisper quiet!     • 110V A/C only, and only works with certain converters if you have 220V mains.
First of all, the caption says "powerful". Well, it is more powerful than the vibrator in my phone for silent calls, but for a massager, that would be somewhat exaggerated to call it that. I would say "low to adequate power", compared to other massagers I tried, but no where near "powerful". I was looking at so many different brands and models, that I failed to realize that this particular version is NOT battery powered. It just says "power source corded" in the description. I contacted the seller and suggested they update the description into "110V A/C 50Hz 25W" rather than just "corded". I realize this is my own fault, not to read it very carefully, but having a more clear description would have avoided me buying this unit. I was looking at so many units, getting saturated by reading different reviews and comparing different variants, most of them with a rechargeable battery. As I live in Hong Kong, the voltage here is 220V 50Hz, like most of the world outside American and Japan. I do have converters for 110V, so I plugged it in to my quite new and fancy converter which I also use for other items. Before even pressing the power button, it immediately started vibrating, but pulsing on and off. I tried to change modes, speed and such, but it didn't change anything. Pressing the power button, it changed the speed a bit but still pulsating in a weird way. Finally, I tried a different but older converter and then it worked. It seems to have 3 or 4 different modes, with about 5 "levels". The levels don't seem to change the intensity, but rather just the frequency of the vibrations. Whatever the "level" was I chose, it was not really a very strong impact from the vibrations. Feels nice but not really massage. Finally, it has a very strong smell of plastic. I will leave it outside of the wrapping, hoping it goes away. As I only paid 24 USD, I decided to keep it rather than returning it. I would not recommend it, though, as there are so many other options out there. I have an older massager which is much stronger, but I gave it to a friend who had back problems.     • Great to use after a workout or before bed
I have a really bad back I have rods in my back. When I exercise the strengthen my core because I don't want any more surgery it really helps with the pain and it loosens the muscles in my back and around my neck area. It comes with five attachments that just screw on and are easy to use their plastic there's two that I use that work well for me. I also use it right before bed, to relax my muscles so I don't have to take medication. This has a long handle and a wide head and with one arm I can reach all the way down my back with one hand or I can go around my torso and go around my back that way back I also use it on my legs. There are some settings on the machine there's an off and on button and then there's slow and then you can turn it up higher and higher as you go and then there's another button that you can hit that gives you intermittent vibrations. Pretty much you can do anything you need with this machine to make you feel better it definitely works and I'm not taking as much pain medication which is good. I did not get a bag with mine some people said they did they did it is about one meter long and I found a bag in my house that will hold it instead of carrying around the Box.
