  • Great mower but takes some trial and error.
Size: Mows up to 1.25 Acre(5000㎡) Style: Cut Height 1.0"-2.7"
Arrived much faster than expected so I didn't have to wait to play with my new toy. I've been testing it out for a week and I'm very impressed. It easily tackles mud and ruts in my uneven yard. The quality of cut is better than my riding mower so no complaints there. I put the base station and charger about 100 feet from my house. I've got a camper connection out there so I could power it. It has no issues with rtk connection. I setup my first zone to test it's limits. It's 500 feet away on the other side of my house next to a welded wire fence. Signal strength from the base station was fine. Seems like a big improvement over version 1. Setting up zones was easy enough. Just steer it around with my phone while walking beside it. Maps perfectly to where it went so you can get very close to fences and ditches (note on this later). No go zones are done in the same way. If zones don't overlap you need to add paths to connect them. Just drive it inside one zone near it's border, select make a path the drive into the next zone. If you're going through a gate try to make it centered. It drives to the path then tank turns into it. My path was close to the edge and it would bump into the fence causing it to get stuck. So it does have some... I don't want to call them issues, uh, unexpected behavior. If you map it too close to a wall it can get a little off angle and bump into the wall. It will then back up and swing out wide then try to come back into it's cut line. It will then drive right into the wall, bump again, rinse and repeat, slowly moving down the wall. I realized the GPS is over the rear wheels and the bump sensor is in the front. It's trying to line up the rear wheels with the path so when it's angles into a wall it will bump into it. To fix this I modified the areas to stay a little further from walls. It will require a little more string trimming but not the end of the world. Some other things of note. If you add a new zone over an existing path it will not be happy. Delete the path and make a new one if it's still needed. If two zones overlap it will have trouble moving from one zone to another. It can get stuck in the shared space. They are releasing software updates which make it better and fix bugs. It was almost unusable on day 1. A software update was pushed on my second day of ownership that fixed many things and activated the camera navigation. ... show more

  • 5 star product
Size: Mows up to 1.25 Acre(5000㎡) Style: Cut Height 1.0"-2.7"
The media could not be loaded. The Luba 2 is an excellent robotic mower; I highly recommend. SETUP - the box is heavy! Get help to move it or use a hand truck - it’s packaged extremely well - it took me about 30 minutes to unbox, find a temporary place for the charging station and RTK, and update firmware - BEWARE, it doesn’t support 5ghz WiFi, so I needed to walk about 100 feet away from my mesh system to force it to join 2.4ghz - the mobile app is well designed. Setup your perimeter, add any no go zones, and it is ready to mow MOWING - it does an excellent job mowing. You can fully configure the cutting setting including path direction, height, spacing, speed, etc. - it is a hill climber. When they say 80% grade, it really can climb it - there are 3rd party parts available if you want to mow lower than 1 inch. I reel mow my Bermuda grass yard at 1/2 to 5/8 inches, so I ordered a spacer kit MISC - after a few days, I decided to permanently mount the RTK to my fence. I used 10 bucks worth of hardware from a big box store. BEWARE: once you move the RTK, you will need to remap everything - I am having an electrician install an outlet close to the base station so I don’t have to run extension cords - the RTK can plug in separately, or into the base station power - I ordered a 4g SIM card so I can use it up to 1.86 miles from the base station. It also allows you to view the video feed when it’s not on WiFi (my mesh system works well, covering most if not all 3/4 acres). Mammotion says it uses about 200mb a month if you don’t view the camera (several GB if you do) - you want to keep at least 6 inches from any objects when you map, so it doesn’t hit objects when it turns around - I’m cutting out a spot in my fence, so it can leave the backyard - battery life is good. It returns home at 15% and recharges to 80% before resuming an unfinished task - you can setup a number of schedules to automate your mowing jobs - I installed artificial turf around the base station, so it doesn’t tear up the ground when it does a 180 degree turn to park - there are documented steps on social media of users replacing the battery which is plug and play after removing the top cover. Currently it appears that some dealers are able to sell replacement batteries. I’m super excited about the mower. I am in the process of selling my 3 greenmaster and reelmaster reel mowers. ... show more

  • This thing absolutely SUCKS
Size: Mows up to 1.25 Acre(5000㎡) Style: Cut Height 1.0"-2.7"
Ive had this thing setup for 5 days and it hasnt even completed a 10th of my yard, i have .8 acres, every time i look outside it is stopped for no reason, then i open the app and it says its stuck, i simply hit the continue button and it gets “unstuck” by its self, i basically have to babysit the app because it doesnt send you notifications until you open the app and look at the notifications, it bumps into the grass and turns itself off, like it’s GRASS, thats what youre here for. Ive done everything i could to try to make this thing just mow my lawn. Im getting overheating disk notifications, clogged disk, etc. ive vacuumed this thing out, flipped it over a bunch of times to clean it. Restarted it over 20 times, i have over 100 error notifications. No exaggeration if i went and bought a goat it wouldve mowed my lawn by now. It’s honestly comical that this thing costs $3000, im returning this and getting the husqvarna. I also have it set to the minimum amount of spacing between the lines and the 8 lines that it managed to do over a 4 day period arent even touching eachother. Customer service is all but useless too, talked to them 4 times already. F this thing ... show more
