I bought these for a very large single window in my kitchen, that you can see into right from the street outside . This took me 10 minutes to install. I needed my tension on the smallest setting, but it fit. I’m really glad I chose the light gray versus the white. I would’ve had to wait two months for white and gray is a perfect match for my kitchen and the beach themed valance which is cheesy but fun for my Florida apartment .     • Awesome no drill alternative! But beware measurements…
This is an AWESOME alternative to traditional blinds that require drilling. Our kitchen window looks out to the street and we’ve tried to hang traditional blinds but found the whole window frame was metal lined and couldn’t get anything properly mounted. This tension rod works perfectly. So far it seems secure and has not fallen but time will tell. My only issue is the measurement instructions. It’s clearly way off. Following their instructions to a T, I ordered a 36in and it was way too big. I was skeptical a 35 would fit (per their instructions) but it fit perfectly. Also the length was way off. But in this case I had to order a length that I knew was too long so it still covered the full window. Be prepared to possibly have to resize/reorder. ... show more

These shades are SO NICE! I wanted to have something more modern than my aluminum blinds. These are super quick and easy to install. I left the brackets from the blinds I removed from my windows, and simply installed these in front of the old brackets. I didn't want to try to get the screws out of the frame, so I glad I didn't have to disturb them in order to get these new shade put up. These look as nice as the most expensive cellular shades, and they adjust so easily, with just a touch to the bottom to lift them. I was initially concerned if they would stay all the way up when not in use, and they do! They hang evenly and retract all the way to to top. Excellent pricing on this well made and clever shade - the best part being I could install them myself with a step ladder, and just a few minutes. I bought 3 more after the initial purchase. It does what it says, black out. The company reached out to me to make sure the size was accurate, I’m glad they did because it he blinds fit perfectly.. the reason I gave it a 4 is because the bottom is a little lopsided. It doesn’t stay pulled down , but the right side does.

    • Excellent value, but a tight fit

I had new replacement windows installed and it turns out the new windows cover the holes for some of my prior blinds. I decided to take the opportunity to put new window treatments up. These shades are excellent value (shades are SO expensive), time will tell how well they hold up. I've put up cellular shades before into wood trim but my current windows are plaster openings and I was worried about drilling, tension installation shades seems like a perfect solution. I only have three minor criticisms: 1) the first shade I received was damaged, one end of the tension rod was shattered, I suggest using the 'ship in amazon packaging' to prevent shipping damage, I've received three others since that were fine 2) they are a tight fit, my windows are all 39.9, the information for the 40 inch wide say they fit 39.7-40.6 and the information for the 39 inch wide say they fit 38.7-39.6 so I ordered the 40 inch. They are a TIGHT fit, in fact the bottom frame of the shade barely fits in the sill (which is 39.9) 3) the color/size choice is a bit difficult. I needed two different lengths and had a hard time finding one color in both, I ended up with the dark grey but one length is light filtering and the other blackout. The company says they'll have more in stock in a month or so but I wanted them sooner. ... show more
