I've had these blinds for about 5 mo now and it's been really fantastic. The main thing I like is that I can schedule them to automatically close when it starts to get dark through the app. My window was wide and I bought a 155 in unit. It came in 2 segments, which I mounted to the ceiling, and 5 panels. I chose to leave about 4 inches along the floor so as to accomodate a robovac. It was relatively easy to install. I just made sure the mounting brackets were equidistant from each other. A drill and power screwdriver is all you really need. A good ruler helps keep your distances honest. All the hardware, screws and fasteners were included. Documentation was pretty good except for some unclear points. But, although it wasn't mentioned in the docs, they do have vidoes on youtube to clearup anbiguieties, which was extremely helpful. Customer service was very responsive. I usually get detailed responses from them in within hours if not minutes. Careful unraveling the fabric panels. If you unpack it in a sloppy way, you can end up accidently folding the fabric and create creases. This happened to me when I didn't give myself enough room to unroll a couple of panels. One time, I left a chair in the path of the rail and that caused a lot of crumpling. These creases are noticable in the evening from the inside light. The company did suggest they would take care of me if they needed replacing. Ultimate, I decided the creases were tolerable and decided not to go through the process of replacing them. After a while, I tended not to notice the slight creases. Pros: * I got the baige color ones that let in some light but are completely opaque. Great privacy. * I was afraid the motor would be noisy, but no, they are very quiet. I have them automatically close before the sun goes down and if I'm not paying attention, I don't even realize they are closing. They are so quiet! * It really is nice that I can open and close them with a push of a button, given it's a large window. * If you DIY, it's relatively easy to install. No major problems at all. We bought 2 of these, one door was 8ft tall, 14ft wide and opened from the center and the 2nd was 8ft tall, 9ft wide and opened from the right side. The operation of the blinds is flawless, super quite, the remotes are very modern looking, and you can operate these from an app!!! Highly recommend this company. The only thing with this style and set up is be prepared to dedicate some time to install, it is not a quick process but they come with good instructions. ... show more

We purchased this product in October 2023. The blinds were easy to install and seemed fairly good quality. The problem is with the remote. It is awkward to use, the battery continually falls out of the remote while you are programming the curtains. When this happens you have to start from the beginning and reprogram it all over and over. Now the remote doesn’t even control the curtains. I have unpaired and repaired it several times and still no work. Now I am stuck with a very expensive blind I have to hand open and close I have upgraded this review as after I had submitted it, Graywind customer service reached out to me and said they would provide me with a new remote. They sent the new remote which I received and it seems to work fine. Do far bo issues. The blinds open snd close as advertised ... show more

I have a good sized Patio Door 96 inches wide, been looking for a modern covering and found the graywind blinds, took measurements as directed and ordered the options, I went with a Black - Blackout material. The assembly and mounting were actually very straight forward (there is a page that you can miss/glance over that is key) I did end up having an issue (that page that I glanced over - fyi - dont glance over it. lol - there are 2 super tiny screws with a bracket that has to be handled). I had to contact customer service who were superb and timely - I sent them a video of the issue I was having and after some back and forth the problem was solved - it was totally my fault by overlooking that one page. the quality of the product is great its all extruded aluminum and the panels are very solid - after it was up and paired I downloaded the app and connected alexa to it within minutes I am taking measurements for the 2 other windows in my condo and will be replacing the curtains with these. If i was going to change one thing I would have ordered it wider so when fully open the panels would be in front of the wall and the patio door fully exposed. but thats on me and no reflection on the product. update going on 3 months - I wanted to update after having these a little longer and have to say they have been one of my favorite home purchases. Ive had black out drapes before but these are on a different level - i am going to order them for the bedroom now absolutely brilliant. ... show more

I replaced s-curve vertical blinds with slide panels over my sliding glass door. Overall the look is clean and neat - just like I wanted. And as a big plus, they work with Alexa. However, there are a couple of areas that improvements could be made. 1. Instructions for aligning the clips on the panels needs to be clarified, perhaps with a picture. 2. The brackets for the valance protrude too far from the track. Consequently when you install the valance it is about 1" or so from the wall. Does not give a satisfactory appearance. I have looked several times on how to correct this and have not come up with a solution. There is plenty of room from the valance brackets to the track that an adjustment could be made. Perhaps different valance brackets without the curve. Update. The valance being so far from the track and wall really irrated me. Consequently I scrapped the original valances and opted for cloth valances that gives a much better appearance. Need to adjust original valances for a more appealing look. Sorry I spent the extra money for the valances only to trash them. ... show more
