This is our 3rd counter ice maker. We started with the most expensive/viral one and it died in about 10 months. I decided not to spend that much again. This one has been the best so far. It’s a little loud. I don’t mind that. We always have ice when with the others that wasn’t always the case.

A lot of people said this quit after 4 to 6 months. I guess I am lucky in a way cause this machine quit on me after 2 weeks! I was very impressed at first, as it put out a lot of ice and the quality of the ice was great, but after 2 weeks (approx 3 uses per week) it just quit on me barely putting out ice. Several times it told me to add water but the water level was full. I thought about just getting an exchange but for a $200 machine it should be built a little better, so it will be returned. I bought this just for myself in my room at my college apartment and it has been working great! I was scared to get this because of reviews saying that the ice clumps together and you have to break it apart, but that does not happen for me. The machine is a bit noisy which is why i took off a star, but it does not bother me much during the day. I do turn it off at night time just because sometimes it will start up in the middle of the night and wake me up since I have it in my actual bedroom, but even with it off overnight there is still ice in the basket waiting for me in the morning. Many reviews said that the ice melts quickly, but I have not had that experience. I have left it off for 10+ hours and ice is still in the basket, not stuck together or anything. The shape of the ice is perfect, exactly like the ice you would get at sonic or canes. I haven’t had ice in my apartment for 6 months because our fridge in unit doesn’t have an ice tray, and the plastic ones take up too much space. This has been great! The maker itself is a tiny bit bigger than I thought it would be, but it is no problem at all! I do think for just one person it is a bit large, since I really only put ice in my Stanley cup once in the morning and once at night. It would be perfect for i’d say 2-3 people even. ... show more

** UPDATE 5/1/24 Bought in JANUARY machine has started to make a high pitched noise while making ice. Production has also slowed. These are tiny cubes not true nugget ice. Item is quiet. Item is bigger than I expected. I'm disappointed having gone thru cleaning and set-up just for the wrong ice.

Okay so yes the ice maker broke. It seems to have been. Faulty part. The customer service was great! They sent me a new machine! I received it yesterday and I’m back to enjoying the most amazing ice! So thankful to find a company that stands behind their products!! Loved this thing! Told everyone about it! My sister even bought one! Now 3 months later! NOT WORKING! Tried to figure out how to contact the company to see if they can help. I guess since it’s been 3 months I am just out of luck! $250!! What’s?!?     • DO NOT BUY THIS ICE MACHINE!!!!!
I purchased this item for Christmas mid December. In January we opened it brand new, followed all of the instructions and plugged it in. It was awesome for about a week. When it works the ice is awesome! We love it! We've read the manual, let it do the cleaning cycle, have it start working again for another week and then it stops working again. The last couple of weeks it won't even make ice. We've unplugged it, cleaned it, used distilled water and over the last few days it will start making ice and then all of a sudden it just starts melting and the ice is gone. It's really noisy. There is absolutely NOTHING consistent about this machine and I would say over the last 70 days or so that we started using it we've maybe had it work maybe 35 days. I didn't get the warranty, but I thought for sure with the price I paid that we would get more than a months worth of it working. I would NOT RECOMMEND this machine at all. Not for anyone. It's sad that we've wasted so much money. We could have purchased a lot of bags of pebble ice and would still have money to buy more vs buying this machine. I've tried to find a phone number or a way to reach the seller, but not been able to find anything. I did send a message, but haven't heard anything. ... show more
