    • Great, sturdy distribution tool
I didn't provide a photo of this, since they are so common. This one is very sturdy, made of heavy materials. It is adjustable by loosening the knurled knob on the back, rotating the body until the desired depth is achieved, and then tightening the knurled knob again. It's pretty foolproof and this type of distribution tool seems a bit less messy to me. A word of caution: be sure to measure the diameter of your espresso basket - even a half millimeter too small will not let this tool fit. ... show more

    • Does not fit Breville Bambino Plus
I got this thinking that it would work with my Breville Bambino Plus, but it is too big and I am unable to use it. I had looked up the filter size prior to ordering, but this distributor is still too big. Pretty disappointed.

This review is in contrast to that of my recent Kaffe tamping mat. Like many pro-sumer out there, the majority of us use Breville espresso machines for home use. It uses a 54mm basket size. You would imagine that advertising as 54mm, this gravity distributor tool would fit any 54mm basket, it doesn't. I saw that this is an issue for 54mm Kaffe tamper not fitting Breville basket in that review section but this review section suggests that it fits their machine fine. It might be user's error on my side assuming that it would but I think Kaffe should have the specification and compatibility listed. I am forced to use this as a very nice(+1 star) and shiny(+1 start) paperweight unless they either update their description saying it doesn't fit Breville machine or make adjustment to the distributor head. 2-star! ... show more

    • Pristine quality at a reasonable price
Honestly my only complaint here - and a minor one at that - is that a small section of the stainless steel was barely tarnished upon arrival. It's not very noticeable, and I imagine I'll be able to clear the tarnish with a tarnish cloth, but it's the first espresso tool I've received from Kaffe that is closer to 95% brilliance rather than 100%. This is an incredibly sturdy, metal distributor with pristine lines and clearly, zero cut corners. It functions exactly as intended on a 54mm espresso machine and would also make a fantastic gift for any espresso enthusiasts! Other than that tiny blemish, this is an impressively high quality distributor. At such a reasonable price, I'm once again wowed by the Kaffe brand and will be coming back for more in the future. ... show more

I have a similar tool for my 51mm office espresso machine and it works great. I figured I needed one for my 54mm home machine. This one is actually better than the one at my office due to the addition of the anti-slip handle. It also costs less. Works better and costs less is a winning combination in my book.
