The package was very heavy. It took me hours to assemble it alone. Be careful with wood pins when connecting pieces of table top. The instruction was fine but not super easy to follow. Finally, it works fine. Looks nice with my whole desk setup

I purchased this particular desk for the value. It was one of the lower cost desks. It has the motor and presets to allow you to raise and lower the desk, which one week in works well. It does not include a drawer or cable management tray, so I had to buy/install those. I was attracted to the darker tan insert in the desk, not really thinking how it would feel with my hand sliding across the desk while mousing. The seams in the 4 pieces are noticeable and will probably collect debris over time. The biggest issue with the seams is near the edge of the desk where you rest your arms as you type, the seams weren't completely smooth and were snagging the arms of my clothing. I had to place scotch tape over the edge of the seams to prevent further damage. The contrast in having the tan insert is pretty, but I would not do it again. I recommend a solid tabletop of whatever color you choose. Also, I am sure the full tabletop will make the table harder to manage while putting together, but I can tell you that I had concerns while putting the four pieces of the top together with the wooden dowels that there wasn't enough support while moving the top around. I worried the dowels would snap, so I used greater care and made it through myself. I'm an older female, and it's just me, but I was able to put the table together on my own (I've always enjoyed doing projects like this anyhow), and the biggest concern was when it was time to flip it over upright. I also installed 1 1/2 caster wheels (to not raise the lowest height too much) and was worried it would get away from me while flipping over and was worried too about being able to lift it. I was able to do so, but I recommend you have someone with you if you can. I will tell you the absolutely most difficult part of putting together this table was installing the lift bar or rod from the motor to the opposite leg. I fought it for about 45 minutes and had to walk away from it. When I came back to it, I got the rod in on the first try, but I have no clue how and I doubt I could replicate it. The tabletop already has a scratch on it, and it happened after I started loading items on it - it wasn't from the install, so be aware the top scratches easily. Lastly, I am researching some edge protector adhesive strips, because resting my forearms on the edge of the desk while I type...well, it hurts. The edges are sharp. I'm not so sure that wouldn't be the case with other desks. It would be nice if the fronts of these desks had a rounded comfort edge. ... show more

I was surprised how sturdy this desk was for the "less than $200" total price. When the box arrived, I was like DAMN, this is heavy. The legs and frame are all pretty heavy steel, so it ends up bottom heavy and sturdy. There are probably 60 screws to hold it together, and I highly recommend a driver with hex bit for assembly, vs. the single manual hex key they send. Once put together it works perfectly. Quick review summary: Easy to assemble, took 1.5 hours by myself, high quality pieces, not noisy, smooth movement and easy to control buttons, great price for the quality of the desk. If you've been looking around for awhile like I was, I'm very confident you will love this desk. Get it!!! ----- The assembly- After reading reviews, I was surprised with how easy it actually was to assemble. It took me about 1.5 hours by myself. I live alone - so easy assembly I can do myself is super important to me. Just threw on a show in the background and knocked it out quick! The only funky part in the instructions for me where i couldn't just look at the photos was the rod connected to the motor. Its obviously an essential piece to the mechanics so don't rush through it! The design- I was admittedly worried about how the wood panels would look all pieced together, especially the one panel that is different than the rest, but as you can see in the pictures it actually looks really nice! (Subjective opinion here lol) The wood panels are pretty cohesive as far as the wood pattern matching up. Its not perfect but I like it. The price- I really decided on this desk because of the price and partially the look - I'm impressed with both! The quality is excellent, it could easily pass as a $400+ desk. ... show more

I have deep dissatisfaction and frustration with the Homall Electric Desk that I recently purchased from this store. Unfortunately, my experience with this product has been far from satisfactory, and I would like to bring the issues to your attention. To begin with, the first desk I received was in a completely spoiled condition. Not only that but one of the legs was jammed, rendering the desk unable to move up and down as advertised. Dealing with this initial problem was an absolute nightmare. I had to go through the tedious process of repackaging the desk and shipping it back to the vendor, incurring unnecessary expenses and wasting valuable time. It was an inconvenience that I did not expect or deserve as a customer. The replacement desk, which was sent to me in better condition, unfortunately, still had significant flaws. The electrical mechanics of the desk do not work properly. The legs do not move up and down evenly, resulting in an unstable and uneven surface. This means that the desk is never at the right height, making it impossible to use comfortably. It is disheartening to have invested in an electric desk with the expectation of its advanced features, only to end up with a product that functions no better than a regular desk. This renders the entire purpose of buying an electric desk useless and feels like a complete waste of my hard-earned money. Had I known I would encounter such issues with the Homall Electric Height Adjustable Standing Desk, I would have made the decision to purchase locally, allowing me the convenience of immediately addressing any concerns or exchanging the faulty product without the hassle of shipping it back and forth.     • It's all good until my knee hits the metal bar

I want to feel comfortable at my desk but at least once a day I bang my knee so hard on the metal enge my knee goes numb and it hurts so bad and I don't want to move the desk upward to the point my knee doesn't touch it bc then my ergonomics are all mesed up. Really it's just the metal bar brackets extend to farr into the middle of the desk on the right 😤 The only reason I don't do it more often is bc I am so careful after I do it. But I sware I am getting like knee issues from the constant damaging pain to it ... show more

Because assembly service was costly, I decided to assemble it myself. I am glad I did it. I had worried that I might run into issues such as ill-fitting or non-fitting parts. But the process was as painless as it could be, and within about 1.5 hours I was done with 50+ screws using the provided L-wrench and the screw driver. The table was up, and the up-down control was functioning as expected. The rod part was not detailed at first glance but the idea is that you have done it right if you were able to fasten both ends by turning the knobs right. My only surprise was that the keyboard-position piece of table was dark and I thought I they had shipped the wrong color. If you look at the original product picture again for the white table top, the lower middle quarter is actually a dark-colored slab of wood which is part of the final table top. ... show more

I read SO many reviews on standing desks and finally settled on this one based on the reviews and price. I’ve had this desk for about 2-3 months and I LOVE it!!!! My fiancé put it together quickly and I helped bring it in from the garage, wasn’t heavy at all. Love that you can program different settings! The motor on it so far hasn’t had any issues.
