It is good value for the price point. It serves my purpose. I use it to repair jewelry, as a hold down when welding or something small metal parts. If you notice in my photo, the merchant supplied two rubber boots or protective covers to keep from "marring" your part, item and it's finish. I would not recommend gluing the included protective vise covers. As, you are like to need the vice metal-to-metal fitness. Also, use either silicone oil or axle freeze on the turning gear. ... show more

The clamp would get stuck any time you tried to open it. Eventually if you turn it enough it will pop off.
