This product is great. I highly recommend that you first spray down the glass very well and squeegee it off then respray to assure no small particles are on the glass. If after drying there are bubbles from particles dont be afraid to remove the film, spray it down, squeegee it off and do it again with the same film. Use new sharp razor blades. While these do the job of providing additional privacy, they’re not perfect and can be frustrating to cut and install. Highly recommend having a yard stick to cut them completely straight, otherwise they’ll be noticeably uneven on the sides. Also, if they are the slightest bit too large around the edges, the edges won’t cling to the window so measuring and cutting takes some precision. It’s really hard to avoid small airbubbles around the corners and edges but from afar, they look pretty good. The media could not be loaded. I installed the film about two weeks ago. It was my first time installing film so I had a learning curve. It went on well and was reasonably easy accept for the trimming part. I learned to use a metal straight edge on the second attempt. The film blocks well and looks good but has a very minor distorted view when looking through it compared to the clear glass. I think it’s the nature of being thicker material and cling not glued. I will use it again on other windows. The price is reasonable and installation also easy enough just have the right equipment as instructed. I have a couple tiny air bubbles that I decided to leave. I have no issue with clinging but I cleaned the window thoroughly before application. ... show more

he HIDBEA One Way Privacy Window Film offers privacy during the day while reducing glare, but a successful experience depends heavily on your expectations and installation prowess. Pros: One-Way Privacy Effect: Does provide good privacy from the outside looking in, as long as the outside light is brighter than inside. Reduces Glare: Noticeable reduction in harsh sunlight, which can make a room more comfortable. Static Cling: No messy adhesives to deal with, theoretically making installation and removal easier. Cons: Finicky Installation: Instructions could be clearer, and applying it without bubbles or creases takes practice. Nighttime Reversal: The privacy effect reverses at night when lights are on inside, so it's not a 24/7 privacy solution. May Feel Flimsy: The film is quite thin, which makes it easier to tear or wrinkle during application. Tip: Watch online tutorials before attempting installation. Having an extra pair of hands for help makes a huge difference. Overall: This film can be effective if you need basic daytime privacy and are patient with the installation process. Works really well for downstairs dorm room window. I love having my window wide open day and night for my plants and just to get sunlight inside. I left the top 1/3 of my window undercovered and the bottom 2/3 covered with the frosted window cover. I have privacy and sunlight. It's perfect! I recommend having a second person help you out if you're needing a larger section put on your windows as the product can cling to itself and that was frustrating to deal with for a second. But other than that super easy to fit, cut, and stick on. My plants DO get filtered sunlight through the frosted window a tiny bit. The frost also blocks out a bit of heat from direct sunlight which is nice here in Arizona. Definitely recommend and will use again. ... show more

Our master bedroom window looks directly into our neighbors backyard with a bit of visibility to the road. I wanted to be able to open our curtains for natural light without feeling like the whole block could see in. This frosted window cling is the perfect solution, it lets in the light but gives us the privacy we were looking for. The material is easy to cut and apply. I put this product up for heat block. I only put it on the upper half of the windows. The bedroom is on the west side but houses block the lowest of the sun setting. The room is much cooler. I was surprised when I went outside to view the install that it was blank. The film works so I can live with that. The inside is very pretty. I tried to follow the instructions closely. Cleaned the windows, used lots of soapy water and a squeegee. Install overall was easy after the first sheet. The only minute frustration I had was trying to separate the film from protective cover after the first cut. The beginning of the roll has a pull tab. After that, I learned to sort of crinkle, bend or whatever a corner of the next cut sheet to separate. I haven't tried the "take down, reapply" feature. For the now, the film is doing exactly what I needed and it's pleasing on the interior. ... show more
