I purchased this film thinking the color brown (silver) would be visible/obvious from the outside. It is not. There is a slight tinge of the brown when the light hits it just so. I like the mirror copper look on some of the windows you see out there. This isn't a difficult project but would be easier with two people. This is working to lesson the bright sun in the mornings. This was easy to use my application is not bubble free but creates a much nicer appearance for useing the room this was the least expencive way to cover the windows. I like the way it looks... I can see out just fine and will be easy to remove and adhered to the window easily. I think I should have wet the window a bit more when appling, I might not have the bubbles. ... show more

Nice thickness, which helps with install and assumed durability. Don’t think the scotch tape used to keep it rolled-up is ideal. It peeled a small area off…so, you might want to use the footer (opposite of your taped end, as your top edge) and cut the end that uses the scotch tape. My glass allowed room for me to trim, but it could be a problem for certain applications. Overall, it works well enough, with an exception. I guess the exception is logical…but it caught me off guard. The film requires “sunlight”…which means the darker the day, the little-to-no coverage. Therefore, zero coverage at night, and very little in the early am, depending on if it’s facing the east vs west. I ordered one roll to test and didn’t realize the exception until after ordering the 2nd roll to finish the job. So, I’ll likely return the 2nd roll, consider the 1st roll a sunk cost, and find a product that doesn’t require the “reflected light” to conceal. I think a more accurate term for this product is a sun blocker film with a conditional concealment feature. I could see this being a major shock for those who only test it in the sunlight and assume they have coverage at all times. ... show more

So, I've bought, applied and have had an intensive past experience with products for this purpose, privacy yet enough clear sight to see out. I've also installed ones that had a crystalized pattern for privacy where it was blurred out on both ends, for bathrooms. That being said and showing that I'm not a newbie to installing products of this caliber; this product is god awful. Please do not purchase. It advertises that you can see clearly through it yet, you cannot. Maybe because I made the mistake of choosing black as a layered color. Possible. But still, i don't like nor feel comfortable with the blockage of my vision of the outside world. At night it's most prominent. Even with the outdoor lights on in the backyard (we applied it on our sliding glass door) we couldn't see those lights nor the street light, everything was darkened outside and if you had a light on inside it would cause a heavy glare and reflection back towards you therefore impeding your vision of the outside world, further, see why this could be an issue? Especially for security? Also, another huge issue is, once installed we both went outside and looked into the door from many different angles and distances away and YOU CAN STILL CLEARLY SEE INSIDE THE HOUSE. There is ABSOLUTELY NO MIRRORED AFFECT AS ADVERTISED!!!!! You could *very* clearly see the inside of our living room and everything inside, ew. The *only* affect it had on our visibility was it was slightly darkened, like a few shades darkened but not enough to block out the image of anything. So we immediately peeled it off and threw it in the trash. I purchased 2 rolls because I needed 2 rolls worth to cover the sliding door. Both were drenched in water (because of the required application process) and are completely rolled out to length whereas they were shipped rolled and shrink wrapped. I contacted amazon and every moron I speak to via chat tells me the same thing, I will not get a credit or refund if I do not return the actual item. Which I'm not fishing that annoying waste of my life and money, out to trek away and return it. Lesson learned. Walking away but felt the need and urge to warn others, walk away, don't buy, it's trash. I'll update if the seller contacts me. Which, I doubt. ... show more
