This basket is a great for putting practice. I would even guess that these are produced in the exact same factory as some of the other Disc Golf Companies branded baskets. Solid quality for a discounted price. The basket comes with 4 wire tent stakes, but I find it sturdy enough that I use it without them. I would recommend looking for the basket without the discs to save a little more money. The discs have zero value for disc golf, but maybe you could find some other use that they would be good for. My rating is for the basket alone because the discs add zero value and wouldn't be worth taking the time to rate on their own. ... show more

The basket itself is really quite nice. The parks are always so busy I never get a chance to just practice or teach my son without people getting impatient so this is perfect to bring the game home or for backyard putting. I'm just a casual player so I don't need the very best... But other than not being a single piece pole cemented to the ground and the top and basket not welded on-- this is a pretty similar experience to what our local courses use. This is a bit more expensive than the cheaper baskets, but the heavier weight and better construction make it well worth it in my opinion. Its quite heavy (at least 30 lbs) so the wind won't be knocking it over and the chains catch discs really well. Its very solid and stays tightly put together but also screws apart for travel. I leave mine outside most of the year but bring it in for winter. Its only been a year but I don't have any rust. The discs aren't great, I much prefer my own, but they aren't the worst I've used and work just fine for beginners or kids. ... show more

    • Good basket for price, chains keep tangling up when setting up.

I like the basket overall for practicing putting and short shots on my yard. When setting up the chains are difficult to keep from tingling. No instructions on assembling but it is not hard to assemble, two sets of chains one with a small ring attached at the bottom and the other set with larger ring. I wasn't sure which set to put up the pole first but determined that the smaller ring goes first and then it kept tangling up. Eventually got them to work after disconnecting one chain to untangle it and re-attached. I like that it came with discs, not sure they are PDGA approved but great for practicing with. ... show more

This was really easy to assemble and is really sturdy. I saw that some people said that the chains were tangled when they received it but I didn't have that issue at all. When I lifted the top out the chains hung down as expected and looks great. I thought it might fall over easily when put outside but it is rather sturdy and if you place it on level ground you probably don't have to stake it. The construction is pretty well done too.
