Our 20V MAX XR 5 in brushless cordless random orbital sander provides the power and runtime needed to get the job done. A variable-speed dial provides ultimate speed control from 8,000 to 12,000 OPM for a variety of projects. One-handed locking dust bag attaches securely to the sander to aid in dust collection or the user can attach the sander directly to the dwv010 or dwv012 dust collectors. Its rubber overmold grip provides comfortable sanding. Replacing the 8-hole, hook-and-loop sanding paper is quick and easy. Battery and charger sold separately.

Like many, the utility of a cordless tool you can go anywhere without tangling cords is great. I have a few dewalt cordless tools so have batteries already. I got the tool only Amazon prime day deal. Opened the box, attached the dust bag, push on and twist, easy, slapped in a battery, attached an eight hole sanding disc, pressed the switch and away I went. It has a handy dial switch for sanding speed. Just rotated to 3 and let the sand disc do the work. You have to buy your own discs, which I knew, that's fine. I used a corded dewalt sander on wooden siding one time in very hot summer weather. After a few days, switching the sand discs, we found they weren't staying on the sander for long. In the heat, plus the friction heat caused the hook pads to melt or lose the stiffness needed to hold the sand discs on. Had the replace the pads. That old adage, "let the tool do the work" comes to mind. Don't be tempted to push down too hard, change to the grit needed to sand off old paint or smooth depending on the job!!! very useful sanding tool. only downside is batteries dont last as long as i'd hoped and needed to buy more which is just more money. perfect for rural uses or where wall outlets are limited/dont exist. if you have wall power outlets and/or extension cables nearby i'd just buy a plugged-in sander

This Sander is so easy to use. I’ve owned a few different orbital sanders in this one is definitely the best. It’s a lot lighter than the other ones but still very durable. It has different settings so that way you can go faster or slower. The other sanders have a really strong vibration This one does not. I thought a battery sander!? I'll be changing batteries every 5 minutes. But no. I can usually get my whole work piece sanded from 120 grit and all the way up to 320 grit on just one or two batteries ie. 30 to 45 minutes. It's light weight, relatively quiet and has ajustable speeds. It uses hook and loop sand paper disks so they are easy to change and readily available.
