Taking everything out of the box, I was intimidated by the number of screws this thing came with. This thing really has a lot of screws. Having said that, the instructions are drop-dead simple and while yes, there are a lot of things that need to be screwed into place, once you get going, it's not too bad. Just the same, I'd plan on spending about an hour on assembly just to be safe. The only thing I'd caution is to look very carefully at the way the light strip goes and notices how the power cable doubles back. You want to screw the little mount holders in with it like that so that it goes back to the middle. I failed to realize this thinking there would be some opening off to the side only to discover once nearly fully assembled that there wasn't. After re-studying the instructions, I realized I would have to completely remove the top and then unscrew two of those brackets to then make this work like it was supposed to. That part was a hassle but once done, everything else was smooth sailing. My main point is, learn from my stupidity and don't repeat it. Anyway, it fits a standard turnstile and two bookshelf speakers on the top with zero issue and holds plenty of records and other stuff below, while looking very cool. ... show more

I love this thing. It's so cool and super functional and I love the mid-century modern style. The top holds my record player and speakers and the amp and the storage shelves are GREAT for holding my ever growing vinyl collection. I used to keep the record player on top of my chest of drawers and the vinyls in a little cabinet and it wasn't ideal so I wanted one piece of furniture that could do it all and this was it! Went together well, unfortunately all of the screws are exposed, so there are black screws all across the top, and the thing is so small that a stand alone record player is too big to sit on it

The media could not be loaded. I saw this and got an idea. If I take out the left and right center dividers, I bet I can turn this into a more functional and stylish, modern computer server "rack" for a large NAS I have as well as store some game systems. Basically the meat and potatoes of my entertainment center, just off to the side and less visible than devices in my actual entertainment center (I have my reasons for doing this). Anyhow, as suspected, it worked fine. The dividers do add some structural support, but not enough to prevent this from being usable without them. So my next step will be to modify the back to allow for some cabling (no cutouts except for the single one allowing the power cable to be strung through the back). For my needs, it's plenty big. I don't own vinyl or a record player, so I can't speak to that, but anything else it's awesome for. None of it's real wood, but it's all nice quality and fits together fantastic. The instructions were clear up until the LED strip installation and after that. Though during the installation, there's like.. zero instruction on how you're to properly install it since the strip provided doesn't match the pic on how they want you to properly place it, so you just have to guess. Kind of annoying, but I can see it being very offputting for someone who doesn't put something like this together normally. Also, if you're going to do what I did, try installing with the dividers in place first, then unscrew and remove them after it's assembled. I ended up messing up one of the drilled mounting holes for a side panel bad enough that it went through the bottom of the lower-most shelf. The instructions and assembly are definitely not accounting for that and there was too much flex. That's my bad, not the manufacturers. ... show more
