UPDATE: We sold our house and left the existing gazebo behind. We bought this AGAIN and still love it. The upgraded tie-down straps with the plastic loops that attach the canopy to the rails are much easier to use and the canopy's tighter fit hopefully means less chance of water accumulation and sagging. STILL very happy with this product. Since I'm searching for a replacement canopy, I thought I'd write about this product as we go into our fourth season of using it. We installed it on our 12X14 raised deck, secured to the deck railing and floor by heavy-duty black zip ties (they're relatively invisible). After the first season, the issue of water pooling on the rooftop got annoying (during Midwestern thunderstorms, the roof would sag with as much as roughly a gallon of water on each side) so we built a frame of 1/2" PVC pipes and attached it to the roof structure...four tiers of pipes to each side. That and really ratcheting down the velcro straps made a huge difference. Last season I noticed the canopy was developing mold spots even after it was stored in a cool, dry place and was itself dry. I tried laundering it and saw no appreciable difference, so this season I've reached out to Garden Winds to ask them for a replacement model that will ensure a proper fit. We're very happy with the sturdiness of this product. Here are some tips: 1. The PVC pipe structure is a pain, but it really has made a difference with the sagging. 2. We take the top canopy and side drapes down in the fall and put them back up in the spring; we frequently see snowstorms w/in excess of 12" and didn't want to risk the weight and ice damage. We store the pieces in a plastic tote (after ensuring that everything is dry) in our basement storage area. 3. Because ours is zip tied to the deck, we've had absolutely no wind-related issues. Even with the full canopy up during 60 mph winds for up to half an hour there has been no degradation in integrity. 4. The plastic clips for the drapes are a PAIN and get brittle with time. I think ours will be done after this season and then...? Hopefully, I'll find replacements. 5. We have not needed to replace the drapes, but EVERYTHING...the canopy, the drapes and the screens, fades dramatically within a year or two. Tried and True- Second Purchase of same item. Meets Needs if Windy, Sunny, Rainy area like we do. Welll designed, has Heavy weight durable frame that does not collapse or blow away. All fabric is quality sleek material that’s maintenance free, stays clean looking, it doesn’t rip up in windy conditions or come unsewn or fall apart or deteriorate in hot sun. Zippers in Privacy Curtains and the coordinating Colored Mesh Netting Curtains all work perfect, easy starts. Like the Two Rail Curtain Rod system, gives options to open/close Privacy Curtains or just Mesh Curtains independent on as many panels/sides as needed to block wind, sun, rain or view. Has coordinated colored wide Velcro close tie backs for outer privacy curtains and elastic tie backs on inner mesh netting curtains to tuck them away nicely at corners when not in use, keeps them from blowing around. I preferred the canopy on this model because it has the double vent opening at top that let’s heat escape keeping you cooler plus help air flow freely in windy conditions so canopy does not rip or blow away. I also like that there’s NO Grommet Holes in the overhead canopy. Directions are step by step text and numbered diagrams to easily follow. Hassle free assembly - everything but a step stool is included to assemble. We’re 67 years old, it took us 2-1/2 hours to assemble, that included the time to opened box, sort Parts, count/compare to parts list. Parts List includes part: Label, Picture, Description and Quantity. Everything was clearly labeled. Received LIGHT FAST, days ahead of anticipated estimate. Excellent delivery customer service, had no issue finding us in RV park, delivery Gentleman needs a raise, he whipped this 124 pound heavy box off back of truck onto his shoulder and carried it to our backyard- Hats Off, 👏👏👏 I bow to him, it took my husband and I both to lift. In a perfect world - would of liked to had a center hook at ceiling to hang light but.... found that a fishing tackle leader worked perfect to hang a light. Overall- HIGHLY Recommend ... show more

I waited more than a year to post a review because I wanted to see how it held up. Even though it says you need up to four people to assemble it, I as a 72-year-old man put it up entirely by myself, although my 70-year-old wife helped me put the top on once it reached that point. We have it over a hot tub which we use all year round, and it has provided a relatively inexpensive shelter from the rain, snow, wind, sun, and cold for over a year. The frame is very sturdy, and the fabric and screening fairly sturdy. That being said, there is a problem with how tight the fabric is over the frame. Water and/or snow can collect in the fabric causing it ti sag, causing more to gather, causing it to drip inside the gazebo and, on one occasion, produce a small tear from the collected ice. In order to ameliorate this problem, I used clamp-on anchors, attaching them to bungee cords to keep the top taut (shown in the picture). In a perfect world and a perfect design, I wouldn't have to do this; there would be a more effective way of fastening the fabric to keep it taut. But I would rather make the best of a less than adequate design rather than not use it at all. If the manufacturer had put velcro in the middle of the frame. or had some other way of fastening the top tighter and more flexibly, I would have given five stars. But after one winter and two summers, it still looks good and provides great shelter for us to sit comfortably in our hot tub and enjoy it. ... show more
