Bonide Systemic Houseplant Insect Control Regardless of whether you are upset about the amount of product in the bottle or not…if you use this product once you will be glad you did and you won’t worry about product volume anymore! Besides, the product is so easy to use and it works! Also if you read the label it says that it “protects” new plant growth up to 8 weeks. This means that you will have to reapply to continue killing any bugs as the effectiveness has decreased. I have been experimenting with some plants in my garden. I took several new young plants that were about a week old and treated them with the product. This is where I kinda like the over sized bottle myself, taking the cap completely off, using a plastic throw away spoon, I get just a very small pinch on the spoon and feed it to the seedlings. I am talking about a literal “pinch”. The smaller the better, as you will retreat in a a week or so when the plants get strong enough to handle it. At this time, when the plants are tougher and I have transplanted them into at least a one gallon container, I give them maybe an eighth or less of a teaspoon. I am trying to use as little as possible to get the job done. So far the treated plants are now about eight weeks old and I have no aphids of nasty gnats, spider mites or Thrips! ... show more

It worked very well! I had a thrips infestation and other products weren't working so I tried this out. It's been about a month or two, and they are still pest-free! The only thing that I recommend is googling the measurement chart for this product. The one attached to the label for the specific one doesn't have the amount needed for 6" or 4" pots. Be sure to mix it into the soil and don't water for a week or so. ... show more

This product works wonders- I will absolutely give feedback for that- 10/10 recommend this systemic for all your plants! The only thing it does NOT protect from is spider mites! But I’ve mixed this in with each plant I haves soil and it has solved every issue I had with pests. This is also how I feel safe having some of my hanging basket plants that love the summer heat outside during the summer! It protects from the inside out! Replenish every 8 weeks or so and you’re good to go! Your plants will thank you for it and you’ll thank yourself in the long run when you DONT have to deal with mealies, thrips, scale etc the only thing I wasn’t expecting was for the container To be not even HALF full. It had about 2 Inches of granules in the bottom and that’s that. I asked why it was like that- The company is responsive. We pay for a certain amount. Ounces or pounds, and the containers they come in will be open and only those few ounces will be in the bottom. A little goes a long way but I felt this was a little misleading and could’ve been mentioned- either way, a great product, just not enough of it in such a huge container ... show more

So I have to repot some of my house plants and i will be adding them to my dirt because i have flying gnats inside my house. I did use some in my big plants and they are just doing fine. It did helps with minimizing the amount of gnats inside the house.for sure It will kill the Larvae eggs.No smell, quality is ok. Performance was great no stickness seal is good and apperance was good too. Over all the product is great they said it wasn'thave enough products in the containers, but for me i just used a teaspoon on every pot or it its too big i used table spoon and it will last me 3 months for 2 bottles I did brought this online but I do buy some in the store they just run out so I brought some to amazon., but overall it was a great product. ... show more

I never write reviews but felt the need to write one about how great this product is. I became a plant person about a year ago. I have A LOT of house plants now! I recently and randomly had a major issue with gnats/fruit flies in several of the larger plants. I tried everything for months… MANY bottles of neem oil, the little plug in light traps, the sticky traps. Those things only slightly decreased the issue but did not rid my place of the issue. I bought this product and it completely got rid of every single gnat. I haven’t seen one in two months now. I only had to use this once so far and it did zero damage to my plants. I’ve repurchased this product many times, works great for thrips and at first fungus gnats, I had an outbreak a long time ago that was cleared up by this product in a single use. Since then every new plant I bring in my home gets this treatment very liberally BUT I managed to still get a fungus gnat outbreak again. So I ordered a new bottle treated every plant again and still have gnats? Did the formula change or are my gnats some type of hybrids lol. ... show more
