Instructions would have been nice. It took a long time of me feeling like an idiot before I figured out how the braces that went between the body and hard top were supposed to go. Otherwise it’s a decent rack. It had a bit of movement noise over bumps. Not loose rattling. More flexing and tapping the top. The only real issue I had with it was regarding the freedom tops. The front of the rack leans over the tops and wedges them in. Makes it a little harder to get them on/off. Honestly a torch and a jack probably would have put enough lift to clear the tops easier. 2 suggestions for improvement would be some sort of puck under the frames at the front since it’s really supported by wedges on the side of the tops. Also if there were rack specific accessories to fit in the slots on the ladders. Something with a wing nut or spin style that screws on to brace items. I would’ve been more motivated to mount stuff on the ladders. But driving 80mph, if it’s not bolted down I won’t trust it for long rides. ... show more

My freedom panels wouldn't fit under the rack to remove or install them because the front of the rack sits lower than the rear. So I used some of the extra nuts as spacers between the rack and gutter clamps and now they clear. The ladder hits raddles on the side of my top on bumps. I would recommend the manufacturer to send 2 more gutter clamps for I front of the ladder to prevent the rack from doing so. No instructions included but if you're handy you can figure it out. Missing parts. I paid $30 for 25 additional bolts, nuts and washers. No instructions or parts paperwork. Had dents and scratches. Shipped via 2 shipping vendors, UPS & FEDX, causing confusion. It did arrive sooner than stated. Rack is very sturdy but not tool friendly. I installed it in 4 hours, single-handed. Vendor told me that the shipping vendors are very brutal with packages, however these dents and scratches could not come from vendor shipping. It appeared to me that the item may have been returned, because where some of the dings and scratches are from mounting. ... show more

The mount down on the tub to hold the ladders in place are not strong enough. Place a load on the rack it will push down on the bracket, and you will end up with paint damage. Both ladders and their brackets are marked with an L (which I take as left). The backets are different in design and do fit for both sides. However, the ladders are up further towards the front then in their picture and do not properly to mount them onto the rails. The ladders will dig into the rain channel on the top and ruin that area and its paint. Which I now have. DO NOT buy this cargo rack spend more and get a good rack. No instruction in the package, there is how ever there is a video. Also mine came with one bag of screws, washers and nuts broken open. Two ends of the side for the rack received minor damage and had to be bent back into place. ... show more

The rack arrived wrapped fairly well. There were a few scratches that later immediately (within 48 hours) started rusting and leaving rust drops on top. The directions are really lacking but overall straightforward, once you figure out the roof rack orientation. Ladders work great and are definitely sturdy.
