Well, I've been a fan of Bissell since the cordless Crosswave. I got addicted to two-tank cleaning. It just makes sense. So for my carpets, I got the Revolution 2X Pro-heat. That thing truly is better than a rental unit. It's downfall is stairs. It's pretty big with dual brushes up front, and a gallon of hot cleaner on-board so trying to use the wand attachment while balancing the cleaner on a step is kind of like trying to duplicate Fred Astire's "Dance with a hat rack" Wrong tool. So I got the Bissell Petstain Eraser. Cordless, and with a rotary scrubbing brush, it's just too darn small for the stairs. There's a LOT of square feet of carpet on your stairs, especially when you include the risers. Do the math, you'll be surprised. It does such a good job on small stains with almost no setup, I kept that one. So I decided to try the SpotClean ProHeat Portable. This one was in the 'Goldilocks zone'. Just the right size. Big enough to do 3-6 steps at a time (depending on how deep you clean) and small enough to stay out of the way! FINALLY! It's a little leaky if you use REALLY hot water. Mine was scalding-hot, so YMMV. The suction could have been better, I'm sure it's bigger brother the 'Little Green Pro' has better suction, but it lacks a heater. You can get all the way to the corner at the back of each step. The brush doesn't quite reach, but you can spray-soak it in the hot cleaning solution, and then suck it darn-near bone-dry. Do that a few times, and you are as clean as a whistle. For just over a hundred bucks on sale, this is a clear winner. I'm going to use the Revolution to clean the carpets tomorrow, and this little gem around the periphery of the room up to the baseboards, and that last inch next to the transition to tile that the Revolution won't touch either. OH YEAH, and the edges around the door trim!!! Look down, and you'll see all the tiny places your vacuums and shampooers just won't go. This puppy will. ... show more

I write very few reviews. This one was a must.. I have the Bissell commercial big green machine for my home and business, amazing machine. But with aging large dogs and a small dog with special needs, potty accidents have become very frequent in our house. I needed a spot cleaner. You need this machine if you need to clean spots on carpet or carpet runners. First off, comes standard with a necessary head attachments, completely removed fresh urine and poo stains leaving a fresh smell. ( using pet and spot OXY cleaner by Bissell). So easy to operate but the best part… so easy to clean. Everything comes apart to clean. The tanks pop off for filling and cleaning. The dirty water tank can be taken apart to clean. The hose has a special fitting that allows water from the clean tank to flow through the tube and dump into the dirty water tank for cleaning the water line.- BEST FEATURE EVER!. The scrubbing head has a removable cover for cleaning and (dog) hair removal that becomes stuck in the brush head. Attachments are easy to use .. connect/disconnect. Everything stores efficiently and solidly to the base. I’ve used this at least 4 times in the 4 weeks I’ve owned it. Same result every time. Would buy it again !! ... show more

Set up with the machine was pretty simple because the instructions are easy to follow. It did a pretty good job removing dirty spots caused by my dogs. You want to be a bit careful on clean up of the equipment. Mine leaked a bit of the dirty water out of the pick up nozzle while I was emptying the two tanks. Not a big problem. But know that the nozzle will leak once the vacuum is shut off. ... show more

This! This lil carpet cleaning machine is G R E A T! It works so well. I got it after seeing it work it's little self at someone's house cleaning up a mess. So happy I came home and got one. I have 2 dogs (one elderly), visiting grandkids (young), and a couple of messy marvin's (self & spouse). Within a week poor lil elder dog was sick on area rug (White, washable Ruggable). Picked up the solids & put this machine to work. It worked so well that the rest of the rug looked dirty where the machine had not cleaned, lololol. A month later, other doggie was ill and throwing up all over same rug-again picked up solids and machine cleaned all spots. Fantastic!!! Even used on wood floors where pup was throwing up everywhere before I could contain her. (both pups ok, nothing to worry about :) Those were the worst events but in between there have been various food spills, a few wine spills, and just plain ole who knows what spots. Every single time I get this machine out, it performs flawlessly. I will say each and every time I clean out the container that sucks up the dirty and do a clean rinse to make sure the hose and dirty water container stay fresh and clean-I think it says to do that in the directions-but in case it didn't, I'd suggest doing it. ... show more
