I purchased this product since I did not want to carry around a large code scanner for simple check of my car and to clear the check engine light. I had to get a Wi-Fi version since iPhones refuse to use the Bluetooth protocol in order to connect to the car. After I downloaded a compatible app, I read through the instructions on setting up an iPhone using Wi-Fi. I connected the device to the car and opened the app. It took a few tries to connect to the car, but it finally did. It was also able to recognize my VIN for the car. After playing around with the parameters, I noticed I wanted more information. Unfortunately, the process of obtaining custom parameter IDs (PIDs) weren’t as straightforward. You have to go to online forums for your car and type in a bunch of formulas. Once you can correctly input them into the phone app, it works fine. Please note this is not a replacement for other specialty work such as ABS or airbags. There are still items missing such as bi-directional support and electronic parking brake service. Those items will require a more expensive unit, a handheld unit type. Be wary of purchasing this product this has limited functionality. ... show more

I bought this because I accidentally set both my car keys to mykey and couldn’t adjust radio volume, and seat belt reminder. I needed an admin key to turn the setting off, ford dealer told me I would have to buy a new key and program it.( atleast $250) so I used this with the FORScan Lite app ($7 in App Store) to delete both my keys and everything was back to normal. ... show more
