  • Reasonable price, power, over all works just as good as the pricey Kitchen Aid
Size: 6.5QT Color: Silver
I am changing toward veggies diet so I need lot and lot of seitan, bread and pasta. That means a lot of kneading. Kneading shows true power of the any mixer. I bought the Halmilton Beach originally but disliked the C kneading hook and small 4 quart bowl. The Aucma does not cost that much more but has 6.5 quarts bowl, high power and S kneading hook. Well since I got this in less than a week I had made many seitan, Chinese noodle which require a lot of kneading and some mixing. Works great except one thing. The kneading hook does not have the round plate near attachment. That means flour travels up there and makes a mess which requires cleaning. My solution is to make a smaller dough and that seems to solve the issue. What more do you need if you only care about kneading, mixing and stirring which this mixer can do easily as good as the more expensive Kitchen Aid? In my case i need to make pasta and Chinese noodles. My solution is to buy the hand crank pasta maker which i did. Nothing beats home made pasta and noodle. So cheap and easy to make with the mixer and the pasta maker!!!!! Everyone wants the Kitchen Aid which is heavy and pricey. Sure it is a standard that other mixers follows. I can buy 3 other mixers for one Kitchen Aid which work just fine for my need and I am a heavy user. The majority of people out there is not heavy user. If you care to show off then buy the Kitchen Aid. If you care about practicality, affordability and sensible this Aucma serves well. Works for me. It is a keeper. Longevity is not an issue because i can buy 3 Aucma for one K.Aid. At the beginning I was struggling to decide but with Amazon great return policy why not try out then find out. My main intention to buy the mixer is that i do not want to knead flour by hand and i know if it works great for kneading then everything else is a piece of cake for the mixer. Kneading puts a lot of stress on the mixer. It requires power, good S kneading hook and quality machine to run. I see those with the Aucma so this works for me. Do not afraid to try different brand because if you don't try you will never know. I made a right choice NOT to go with K.Aid. ... show more

  • Solid and gorgeous
Size: 6.5QT Color: Lavender
Got the lavender and it's beautiful, just like the photo. I made spatzel with the dough hook so far and it was effortless. Suction feet are very secure. So easy to clean as well, the only things that got dough on them were the bowl and the hook. Definitely recommend.

  • Amazing stand mixer for good price!
Size: 6.5QT Color: Lavender
I absolutely love the colors and the functions on this! It has suction cups on the bottom of the mixer so it can stay put on the counter. It's extremely easy to use and clean and has 3 attachments. The bowl can lock in place and has a splash guard cover that can be removed to clean. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a home mixer ... show more

  • So far so good
Size: 6.5QT Color: Blue
I recently purchased a Kitchenaid mixer, and I have to say, I'm not as impressed as I thought I would be. It seemed to struggle with a recipe with only 1 1/2 cups of flour. This mixer has handled everything I've made very well and doesn't struggle like the kitchenaid, which kind of surprises me. It's coming up on one year with this Aucma, and it is still my go to mixer, and no issues with the up and down lever so far. Another Update--I made Hawaiian rolls, it called for 4 1/2 cups of flour. I did need to scrape the bowl at the beginning(mixture was very thin and runny, there are a lot of liquids that go into this recipe before adding flour), but after mixing the 3rd and 4th cups of flour into the wet ingredients, dough ended up in a nice ball on the hook. Recipe instructed to knead for 10 minutes, I did 5 minutes and turned mixer off for 1 minute, then did the other 5 minutes. It may be able to handle a full 10 minutes, but I don't want to push it. There was no sign of overheating after the second 5 minutes. I think with every mixer, no matter how much you pay for it, at some point you need to scrape dough from the sides, so I am pretty satisfied overall with this mixer. UPDATE: I made some rosemary bread and I have to say, I am impressed with how well the mixer did with the dough hook. I know some are saying that they had to scrape the sides and bottom of bowl. I did not have to scrape dough, not even once. It picked up from bottom and sides very well. You can see from the photo(white dough), there is nothing left on the bowl, it's all on the dough hook, that was without using a spatula at all. This was a recipe again with only 2 1/2 cups of flour. I will try a larger batch of cookie or bread dough soon and update on how it does. I mixed dough for about 5- 6 minutes and there was no issue of overheating during that time. Original Review: The first time I used this, I made a simple spritz cookie recipe, it was a pretty thick dough, but only 2 1/2 cups of flour, so not a big batch. At first it wasn't reaching the sides or the bottom of bowl. I gave it another minute and it did start to catch it all. I added pink gel coloring to the dough and you can see that the dough in bowl is all pink, so it did in fact pick up from the bottom and sides , there was no uncolored dough left in bowl. When I was making the cookie dough, it seemed to be struggling a little on the lower speed, but once I put it up a little higher, it seemed to do ok. The whole thing is a pretty decent weight, heavier than one I previously ordered and returned. In my opinion, it's not very noisy, my hand mixer is much louder. The suction cups on bottom are very strong, it was a little tough getting them to release from granite countertop the first time I used it. Now I use a thick bamboo placemat under mixer and it works out well(see photo). The bamboo mat keeps it from moving around and I don't have to deal with the suction cups. I started with a heavier fabric placemat, but that didn't work, it was moving quite a bit. The two attachments I've used so far were easy to lock in place and the bowl is easy to lock and remove. The blinking blue light is annoying, not a big deal, you just have to keep it unplugged when not using it. ... show more
