I rated this product as Excellent for all categories! I had bought a 6 to 12 in October for the the spring opening season from Swimline. The pole was damaged during shipping and was well past the return date. In Swimline description it states is suitable for vacuum head attachment - WRONG! I managed to fix the pole only to have the pole come apart with the vacuum head and pole at the bottom of the pool and the extension in my hand! 😖 I’m hemiplegic from a stroke so none of this was easy… I bought this pole from Arlba. It was delivered by the USPS (not UPS) and the carrier thru the pkg down onto concrete steps! I immediately opened the box. No dents. Not even a scratch! Works flawlessly too! Learn from my mistake and pay the extra $20 for this quality product!!! ... show more

Update - Im updating the review to 4 stars from 1 for good customer service. The seller refunded the $9.00 that Amazon cheated me out of as soon as they learned of the problem. We just had our pool replastered and I purchased this short pole to help with the daily brushing that is required. After using this pole about 5 times the threaded plastic base pulled off of the bottom section (see photo). I tried pushing it back on but it kept coming off. Even worse, I issued a return which Amazon honored but did not pay for the shipping container. Why should I have to eat $9.00 for a defective product?? ... show more

So, our pool area burned. We lost everything. And we needed a pole….FAST. I stopped by the WMart for a cheap pole while I waited for this one. It’s substantially better. It feels more heavy duty. Glad we bought it.

I love the sturdiness of the pole and the reach is remarkable. I didn't like it bends slightly when all the way extended and moving through water, but I would rarely if ever need to fully extend it. Not to heavy either. Way better that the last on purchased. Very pleased with the pole.

5 star for price and good quality, 2 star for design, my biggest complaint is that the big round knob that you turn to extend the pole will easily scratch your hand while holding this.
